I think part of the appeal is the way she is totally focused on you, the customer, and in making you happy. She wants what’s best for you, at a price you can afford, and she gets very happy for you when you get happy. She loves what she is doing and that helps you feel better about what you are buying. Flo is the perfect salesperson…no pressure, no hustle, no fast talk…you want to trust her because she so obviously believes in what she is selling.
If I hadn’t dropped my Progressive policy a few years ago for a USAA policy that cost me half the money, I’d be feeling proud…
I’d like to contributed that Flo tickles the same cerebral sulci as Kari Byron from Mythbusters, for me.
Actually, I think she’s going to ride off into the sunset with the motorcycle guy. And then she’ll ride him all night long, making that “vroom-vroom” noise (which is not a 500, but a 900 V-twin).
Yeah, she was definately trying a little harder to impress the motorcycle guy than her other customers. I need to find and kill that motorcycle guy before he start returning her flirtations.
Erin E-surance seems to be the older sister of Kim Possible.
Flo: She could sell me insurance, and I’d hang out long enough to ask her what her evening plans were.
This thread wants fresh, tasty braiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnsssss
Mmmmm Erin E-surance…
As for Flow, while I’m not sexually attracted to her, it’s simple to figure out why others are. It’s the same reason most guys wanted Mary Ann over Ginger, even though Ginger was supposed to be the sex-pot. Flow is the girl next door[sup]tm[/sup], and since the girl next door[sup]tm[/sup] doesn’t wear her sexuality on her sleeve, it’s assumed that it’s because she saves it all up for behind closed doors.
SUNDAY?!?!? Point oit what a cliche it is and you can buy some time away from the toon you REALLY love.
Bro, my real email is in my profile. Send all bribes there, if you know what’s good for you.
An interview with the actress who plays Flo: Actress Stephanie Courtney talks about Progressive Corp.'s Flo campaign | cleveland.com
Wow, I had no idea this was a ‘thing’.
My husband asked me a week ago if I could sleep with anyone on TV, who it would be? I answered Seth MacFarlane, he said Flo. Explains why he was paying such good attention to those commercials.
Wait until I tell him he’s in such good company.
Flo, Kari Byron?
Yea, they all have that something along with…Kate Botello from Tech TV…
Some cartoon characters seems to exude that something like Erin Esurance, or the chicks from Josie n the Pussy Cats cartoon.
I doubt anyone is crafting and doing this on purpose, it’s just a thing that works.
I’m sure there’s more.
Oh yea, that original chick from Beakmans World, Josie I guess.
There’s just something about bright red lipstick with dark hair. The combination gives off that Bettie Page vibe.
I don’t find her attractive in those commercials but she does look good in that picture. She seems a little ditzy and some of her interactions with customers put me off. It’s like they’re trying to make her an average Jo and I’m supposed to trust her with my business but she happens to ride a V twin (the “you’re excused” line, I don’t like it).
To me, that ad backfired. You’re trying to convince people to switch because they’ll save a lot of money and it’s only enough to buy shoes (does that verge on sexism, lady dopers?) or a name tag?
My mom can’t stand her, “Power to the People”!!
It could be the self confidence too. So many women are endlessly criticizing themselves, but Flo is weird and seems like she is perfectly happy with herself.
Let me guess, your mom’s an old lefty? Yeah, it makes me wince too. Reminds you she’s not real, she’s advertising.
Is it me, or is she wearing a little less false eyelash these days? I like that.
The new pair of shoes woman needs to make another appearance.
Well, this explains why Flo is so perky all the time: She’s on drugs. Lots and lots of drugs.
