Bed time? I don’ need no steenkin’ bedtime!

So don’t pee the bed and it won’t steenk, silly!

::ducks to avoid the smiley attack::

Well, it certainly looks more…colorful…around here, doesn’t it? <-one smiley got me.

Up and at 'em. Is it Firday yet?

Hugs.

:grumble: 5am comes too damn early

Can’t believe I’m clean, dressed, and functioning. Something about supper disagreed with me last night, and I couldn’t get even 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep before I slogged back to the bathroom. I wasn’t feeling sick, but my innards wanted to rid themselves of something *allllllllll *night long. Then Scruffy decided she needed to go out and pee at 3:30, and again at 4:30. Once **FCD **left for work, it got quiet again, inside and out, so I managed 2 whole hours before the alarm went off.

It’s gonna be a *looooooooong *day.

One more fish died last night, but the others look so healthy, it must just be unfortunate coincidences.

Off to toss a hunk of cow in the crock pot, then wait for the washer to finish so I can hang the towels out before leaving for class. It’s really windy today, and cool - perfect drying weather. So behave yourselves (sending The Look in A[sup]2[/sup]'s direction.)

Ten minutes to get stuff done before I have to leave…

It’s cold (45 degrees) and raining and really windy (gusts up to 50 mph) today, a carbon copy of yesterday. I hit the snooze button only ONCE today (usually I try for 3 times), so I’m feeling rather smug. I have an appointment with the gynecologist this afternoon; I know you’re all pea green with envy.

Who? Me? Why I’ve been in the kitchen making Sandwich Buttons (think up brilliant product name: check). Honest** FCM**. Had to’ve been the dog. Lookit 'er passed out on the floor with an empty ice cream container on her head. Like a furry little Shriner.

GT, your Button is ready. Squirrel flavor, light on the orange marmalade, just how you like it. You have a little smiley still on your left ear.

An’ I’ll have you know my pee don’t stink Nava!:stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, ok, so you’re related to my brother, Mr Flowers In His Ass? (According to the Other Brother, when OB has one of his Envy Attacks)

What does Tisiphone have to be stressed about?? I thought that’s why we all secretly want to be cats: to lie around sleeping in the sun all day, just waiting for the humans to come home to feed us.

Hope your tummy feels better, FCM.

I wish there were a couple more meetings today to break up the day. I’ve been pretty productive already, but my focus is a bit lacking. Meetings feed the ADHD. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sneakin’ in a post from da cave. I came by for a sammich after a home visit nearby. I have a chikin in the slow cooker that smells goooooooood! I just tossed in some baby carrots I also took two one quart bags of cornbread dressin’ out of da freezer last night. They’re thawed and now sittin’ in a three quart casserole dish ready to get baked when I get home from irk for good. I’ll make a little chikin gravy to go over the dressin’ as well. Dindin shall be chikin, dressin’, baby carrots, green beans and cranberry sauce. MMMMMMM… can’t wait to eat dindin!

I want a nap but can’t. BOO!!!

9min till quit o’clock… I want oooooooout!

Swampy, do you leave the skin on the chicken in the slow cooker? Doesn’t it get oogy? Cornbread dressing sounds good on a fall day. Din-din for me is Ekrich snausage, corn niblets and maybe pan-fried N.O.T. Condo board meeting tonight, and if I’m still awake, part one of the Project Runway finale.

Home from a blissful grocery shopping trip without any kidlets along. It was so peaceful.

Is it naptime yet?

Home from class, with much settled tummy, thanks, taxi! I still don’t know what the problem was - **FCD **and I ate the same supper, and he slept just fine. I suspect a plot against me, as usual. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have several pieces in the kiln that have had their final firing - it was in its cooldown cycle, so they should be ready to come home on Tues. Yay! Today, I glazed my flower pot and saucer in shades of red - maroon, red-brown, rustic red, and bright red - in a stripe pattern, covering it all in clear high-gloss glaze. It should be pretty, and I think I’ll plant my variegated spider in it.

After class, I stopped at the bank to make a deposit, then ran to the grocery for a few items. I put carrots, onions, and celery into the crock pot with the roast, and in an hour and a half, I’ll add chunks of N.O.T. - supper will be yummerrific.

I just finished a PB on wheat sammich. I think the towels are probably dry, so I’ll be taking them off the line shortly. The house was down to 62° so I’ve closed it up. If it drops one more degree in here, the furnace will kick on. Brisk day.

As to the dog in the fez… <tapping foot>

Ha. Vindicated. Went into the jobcentre today (with all my stuff) for check I was saying was stupid, and the lady there totally agreed- and is, in fact, planning to write a formal complaint to management about their stoopid messing around. Had to go do a ‘Habitual Residency Test’, which is supposed to be if they’re unsure if you normally live in the UK. I was born here, and lived here almost all me life- they’d already checked my passport, and photocopied my house rental agreement, for the place I’ve lived in over 2 years… There was no reason at all why I should have been flagged for the test. Was nice that they agreed it was stupid and a waste of everyone’s time. It’s delaying the claim and everything.

I had horrid girl-ickness, and wanted to be in bed with a hot water bottle. Spent the rest of the day so far doing nothing.

It’s getting all cold now, I want to get stuff from the shop, but it’s all the way out there!

Yay for Girls- seein’ as we all wished 'em into girldom, do we get to name them??

Oh, yes, Mumpers naming LiLi’s babies - what could possibly go wrong with that idea…??

Aaaahhhhhhh…silence. So nice. The dogs are sleeping. The fans are all off. The fish tank water has been topped off so no more annoying burbling. There’s a pleasant wind blowing and I can hear the leaves rustling. There’s no annoying plunk plunk plunk of rotten crab apples falling on the ground since we chopped that bastard down. Other than the rustling leaves, the only sound is me clicking away at my keyboard.

My computer is pissing me off. Hugely.

This time last year, I was using a laptop and my internet connection was wifi. Three days after the fall semester ended (and on Christmas Eve), my laptop died. Sweetie bought me this very nice desktop so I’d have a computer when the spring semester started. I paid him back when I got my student loan overage. I loved this computer, at first. It’s fast. It plays WoW and CoH without choppiness or bad graphics. Sweetie also got me a huge monitor for my birthday (which conveniently falls 3 weeks after Christmas and 1 week before spring semester started).

Then the problems started. I am constantly losing internet. This happened frequently with the laptop but we chalked it up to wifi and I dealt with it. This computer doesn’t use wifi. It’s not even set up for it. I’m plugged straight into the router, slot #1. Sweetie’s desktop is also plugged directly into the router. He NEVER loses internet and his computer is 6 years old! His laptop connects with wifi and NEVER loses internet. My mother and step dad always connect with wifi when they come to visit - on 2 iPods, an iPad, or one of 3 laptops. Not one of their devices ever loses the damn internet. But my computer does and I’m the one who needs it most since all but 1 of my classes are online. Sweetie has a shitty keyboard and doesn’t have Word so I can’t do my homework on his desktop.

I don’t know what to do. The router is fine. The connections to the pole are fine. The cable is fine. The problem has to be with my computer.

To make matters worse, my coffee tastes like shit. :frowning:

I shudder to think how you know that. Thankfully, I lack your apparent extensive culinary experience.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwww. Um, I’ve been around some (from various babies) that was so fragrant it could practically be tasted but thankfully I’ve never actually tasted it. Ick.

Perhaps I should have said that my coffee was too old, had too much cream, and too much sugar. Blech.

ShortDrum, At least with the Intartoobz connection, VWife’s desktop had the same issue. Turns out Windows was running one protocol stack for connection, and the interface had it’s own that was running, too, and they’d fight for control. Make sure you’re running only one driver. Easy giveaway: you have two sets of connection bars on the lower right.

Happy virtual Firday!
