FNG's MMP

A family friend went into hospital (after all the normal scans) to have a baby girl and came out with a baby girl… and a baby boy. Missin’ the bits is one thing, but missin’ a baby altogether…?
Starting to get all chilly here- if I suddenly stop posting, I’m probably curled up in a box of straw in the garage, and I’ll be waking up about March.

PT was great it is like I am a different person today.

Melissa the superPT took measurements of my knee bend today and I am at about 80% of the bend that I get with my good knee with minimal effort and I can get my leg straight with some hyperextension as well. She is very happy with my progress and she offered on my ‘none scheduled’ days if I want to come in and use the stationary bike I can with no charge to the insurance etc.

I have my lasagne in the oven and a glass of wine in my hand. Life is good today. mr ems keeps sending naughty texts I keep telling him I am not that kind of girl

That you were playing Clue.

Visited with mumsey. Made her a bunch of charms for her fingernails. How could she have produced daughters so different from her? I couldn’t even fathom having nails as long as hers. She has 20 different nail polishes on (yes, TWENTY). Each nail has a different color base and a different sparkle topper. Two nails have rhinestones. One nail has a hole drilled for a charm. It makes my head hurt. But, it makes her happy. So, I made her charms for her fingernail.

Now I’m bored. Mumsey is sleeping and Sweetie must be too because he’s not playing CoH from his hotel room. My sisters aren’t online. I checked my nutrition class to see what the assignment is this week and realized I missed the special alcohol assignment so I did that. Don’t want to start proteins now.
I think I just might to go bed. It’s not even 10pm

Mumsey is leaving around 10am tomorrow and Sweetie wont be home until after 5pm. Looks like the boredom isn’t ending any time soon. I might rake the driveway again tomorrow.

Waiting for dinner to arrive. It’s bad Chinese, but at least they’re fast.

So glad it’s Friday. I didn’t completely clear 2010 off my desk, but I’m close enough. Off to knit until dinner arrives.

Apparently, Camping has miscalculated yet again. I wonder what his new prediction will be?

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 40 degrees Amruukin out. There’s even a frost advisory out for the hours of two - eight a.m.! No worries though. No frost at da cave. The predicted high is 73 and sunny. Sounds like a pleasant day.

Actually I have already been productive. I have N.O.T. boiled and coolin’. I shall turn them into N.O.T. sallit for lunch tomorrow. JDD’s father is in the hospital. He had a partial hip replacement. Apparently his bones are too brittle for a complete one. So, good thoughts and prayers appreciated. He seems to be doin’ good considerin’. Ok, what that has to do with this is, since JDD’s mother, sister and an aunt will be in town tomorrow around **N.O.L.**time, I told JDD to have everybody come out to da cave. Since I just happen to have <snerk> boston butts <snerk> in da freezer, I yanked one out. I figure that, N.O.T. sallit, baked beans, rolls and buttermilk pie would be a decent N.O.L. and easy enough to do. Food consumption today shall consist of eatin’ up leftovers from the past couple of days. OYKW and I are good with leftovers.

Rosie I forgot we were supposed to be all doomed and such yestiddy. Poor guy. This doomsday stuff is just not cooperative at all with him.

Ok, I need more caffiene and brekkie. Perhaps I shall also go ahead and mix up and bake pies. Y’all reckon the smell of pie bakin’ will roust OYKW outta bed?

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

That he’s a dumbass?

Blurf. Annoying dreams last night. Nothing that I would consider a nightmare, but more along the lines of TVCTPMO actions. Maybe they’ve started using brain manipulation beams, and are actually responsible for the stuff that played in my head… (?)

Enough of that; I have a partial shift on the bambilance today. Happy happy joy joy!

Oog, I’ve stayed up all night watching LOL cats on YouTube. So it’s not like I was wasting time or anything. I do believe there’ll be candy and soda for breakfast, sleep, and then off to Mexico I go. Wanna bet I get pulled into secondary at the border and they sloooowly inspect every inch of my itsy bitsy car for all those drugs I traffic?

! ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) Hands off my floor mat Mr. Border Patrol Guy!

Fortune cookie:
Never depend on others to make you happy. You can do it yourself.

I need to wash the car, do laundry, buy new cat toys, and pick up Halloween stuff for work. But first, breakfast and caffeine.

IN BED!

So, N.O.T. sallit is made. Baked beans mixed up and ready to get cooked. Might go ahead and cook ‘em later on and reheat tomorrow as I think they taste better that way. Pies are baked and the spatula o’doom has been weiled (I think that’s spelt right. who knows. who cares.) as a threat against any pie filchin’. However, a batch of chawlkit chip and pee-can cookies has also been made for consumption at will so I think the pies are safe.

I’s tahrd. I need me a nappy poo.

ETA: First on six!

Shadow - who gives that certification? The only PM certification I’m familiar with is from the Project Management Institute. It’s the definitive organization for certifying PMs. I would go for a full certification, if I were you. I can’t imagine that there would be nearly the demand for associate PMs as for fully-certified PMs. YMMV, of course.

Home from decorating for Halloween. Our ghosts turned out really cool.

Need to go find some bulbs to plant. Woo hoo!

Hugs.

I’m so sorry that I’ve been mostly lurking these days - I just don’t have all that much to say, and then I usually up and forget most of what I do want to say. That is very aggravating, believe me.

I am finally getting back to going to the doctor and settling in with a new medical team and insurance here in Albuquerque. I have Lovelace, for anyone familiar with them. As some of you may remember, I was hospitalized back in May, which lead to my retirement, for my oxygen levels (and my carbon dioxide levels too, unfortunately). I made the mistake of going into the post by Quasimodem and reading about Dondra’s oxygen SATs, which were 95, I think. I say mistake, because mine were lower - much lower. I’m almost afraid to admit how much lower. I am now on oxygen 24/7, which is what I should have been, and with the oxygen, my SATs are 90 but will dip lower. The post made me feel like I was in pretty bad shape. :frowning: I do have portable tanks and use them when I go out; it’s a pain, yes, but it’s well worth it because I do not tire out as easily. I do have an appointment with the pulmonologist in early November, btw. And the oxygen supplier sends a respiratory therapist to see me.

I just wanted to say great news! to LiLi about twin GIRLS. And Rosie, your toe is looking a whole lot better now. I hope that the pain is easing up some. FCM, my retirement actually kicked in the first of August; I hope yours will kick in soon. Cross your fingers!

Hugs and kisses, and everything to everyone! Enjoy the weekend.

So the car has been making strange noises for a while now. It’s a kind of fwop fwop noise, like you’d get with a flat tire. Only problem - no flat tires. We were thinking that maybe we needed an alignment or rotation or something like that but our car has been to Firestone fairly recently and I can’t imagine they’d not tell us something like that.

Sweetie was walking up to the car today and noticed something odd. The tire that’s making the fwop fwop sound has ruts in it. Actual ruts. Like, raised area, low area, raised area, low area. I asked him if he thinks the car caused that and he said it’s possible but he thinks the tire was defective to begin with.

I think, but I’m not sure, that it’s the tire we had replaced fairly recently (twice in the last year actually) and if it is, it’ll cost us next to nothing to replace. If it’s not, it still shouldn’t be too expensive. Gotta call Firestone in about 5 minutes because he had a huge line when I called a minute ago. We were going to get this problem dealt with on Friday, since I get my money on Wednesday. Looks like it’ll be sooner.
Visit with mumsey went well. She forgot to take her clonazepam last night though and she ended up a crying panicky mess when she went to bed but she was happy and chirpy this morning. She was afraid that her panic and depression issues would make me unlikely to invite her for an overnight next time Sweetie is out of town. I can’t seem to make her realize that she’s my mumsey and I love her, panic attacks and all. I know that coming here makes her happy, even when she’s crying, so I’d never stop inviting her. Sigh…mental illness is a bitch. I wish she could be happy and stress free. :frowning:

LOL! The Firestone guy: Well now, hmm…we’re replaced 3 of the 4 recently so it’s a pretty good chance…hang on…there’s the 4th. Yep, they’re all under warranty.

Me: The tire has ruts in it.

Him: rust?

Me: no, ruts

Him: ruts? Seriously? Ruts??? How odd. Well, bring it in tomorrow and we’ll try to figure out what’s going on! Hmmm…ruts…

Only thing that sucks is Firestone is in Auburn and we’re in Southbridge and the Jeep has a big red R on the window. Might have to see if Sweetie’s parents can bring one of us down there. They’re supposed to be coming for a visit tomorrow anyway. Apparently they’re going to have a chinking party.

Hi! I’m here! Busy busy day. I slept in because I couldn’t fall asleep last night. Then we went out for a late breakfast and a few stops. Once we got home, I started working on the glaze for my monster bobblehead. Daughter came over with Cozmo, and she was helping her dad make a new light setup for the aquarium.

We just finished some really yummy N.O.T. soup and I’ve got an apple crisp awaiting dessert attack… Tonight is definitely a melatonin night.

That’s all I’ve got - nothing else exciting on the home front. Knitting later, and crashing early, I hope.

I’ve been to the horsepistol to visit JDD’s father. He’s in good spirits and gets physical therapy every day even on Sattidy and Sunday which kinda surprised me but there’s a schedule in his room for PT seven days a week. Glad he’s in good spirits.

Other than that I got nuttin’. The <snerk> butt <snerk> is thawed out. I’ll stick it in the slow cooker to warm up tomorrow mornin’. The baked beans are in the oven cookin’ away and smellin’ yummerific. Too bad dindin is assorted leftovers.

Am about to go to Local best Friend’s to watch football and hang out. Should be fun.

Hugs all!

Apple crisp was muy yum - I made it with Granny Smith apples this time instead of MacIntosh.

And I just finished building a peach french toast casserole for breakfast tomorrow. That will be worth waking for!

Daughter has left, **FCD **is in his shop futzing, and after I finish reading Dear Abby, I’ll be assuming the knit position for a little while. It’s been a pretty good day.

Hi guys!!
I know I’m in late on thr MMP, but I have been out of town, celebrating a religious observance with my fmaily & friends. Had an excellent time, but it’s good to be home.

Goes to play catch-up
