FNG's MMP

While you may have heard of the name in porn, it’s actually the name of a legit actor and stuntman (now deceased) - who happened to start as the title character in the 1982 movie, Swamp Thing. So there… :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Birthday, Brick!

GirlsGirlsGirlsGirlsGirls

This evening is the meet-n-greet for the season ticket holders. I get to corner players and take pictures for buttons. Oh boy!

And stared in pR0n on the side!

Muchas smootches to all MMPers; I didn’t think much of any one would remember lil’ ol’ me. I have love offerings for all, chocolate-covered sugared violets for** FCM**, specially. Wait a sec while I get them-- m’darn pocket’s full of them. What the-- Swampy, I believe these Hooter’s buffalo wing offerings are yours. Zoo Poo for GT, and the rest of you’ll just have to come look for yourselves. More discrete that way:eek:

What have I been up to? Enough that I could write half an Oprah’s Book Club selection. Not that I would, since most of those make me want to stab myself in the eye with a fork, emotionally speaking. The next half of the novel, wherein the plucky protagonist makes her way toward peace, balance, and fulfillment, will have the SD’s MMPers playing a balm to my frazzle.

Don’t test this out, just believe. Wearing tight shoes while landscaping could make about half your left big toenail turn ugly colors and die. Do NOT stub this toe. Oh it looks funny on tv, the toe stubbing. In reality, pain makes everything go white, and your breath is snatched away so that you can’t even swear. Not that I swear, except for the occasional ‘pootles’ when things are dire.

Happy Birthday Brick!

Ugh.

Didn’t get around to photographing new furry things today. Sorry for anyone hoping for mouse pics. Had a ‘fun’ few days.

Last night, my housemate suddenly started yelling for me to come look in her room- to find water dripping from the roof, and down the walls. She thought some guttering had gone funny, but it had only just started drizzling with rain, and anyway, there’s no guttering outside that bit of wall- so I figured the eejits upstairs had a leak. Ran up there, and asked them if anything had happened- to discover they’d flooded the kitchen, and hadn’t noticed. In fact, they were just about to go out for the night…

Wound up with a big water bubble, containing well over a pint of water, under the paint, and had to go burst it with my housemate holding a bucket underneath, as it was growing as we watched, and was over some electrics. So now there’s a neat paint hole on the ceiling, though it was luckily dry and sunny today, so it’s dried out a bit. Wound up being a night of mini disasters, with the new mouses being all that stopped both of us going on a rampage, I think.

Then today I managed a brain melt- had to go in to the jobcentre for some silly residency test- (I say silly because they’ve already photocopied my passport and my tenancy agreement, showing I’ve been in this house for 2 years, so where else do they think I live?) I’d been all organised, and made sure I had all my document stuff together the night before so I couldn’t get any last minute mix ups. I got there very early, started with the interview, (managing to avoid making any tasteless jokes to the late-middle-aged lady running it about them calling it a HRT test) happily opened my passport to check the date when I got back from the Australia trip over 3 years ago that is apparently the reason they need to check stuff- to find I had not, in fact, bought my passport- I had, in fact, merely bought the leather case to my passport, having apparently forgotten to put the passport back in said case when they took it out to photocopy it.

It wasn’t still in my bag either, so I had to rebook the appointment. The lady there did seem more amused than annoyed, this time… I think it was the expression change from smug to horror…

Anyway, I should go and buy milk before I fuse to the chair.

Or maybe I should go and shout at the upstairs eejits about them letting their friends leave our shared front door wide open because it needs a key to lock it, and they’re too damn lazy to come downstairs when their friends go sigh Can hear when it’s happening 'cos a few of their mates just slam the door several times, expecting it to close properly, which it won’t.

Oh well; it’s their bike that’s in the corridor.

Help yourself to a Happy Birthday!, Yay Fish!, Go Girls!, or Free Hugs! as needed.

Happy Birthday, Brickster!

I’m still here, but I’m heading home tomorrow. He’s hanging on by a thread, poor baby. For two days everyone, including hospice, has been thinking it’s gonna be any minute. It’s so hard for everyine involved.
Anyway - sorry to be Debbie Downer.

I’ll be back in Houston tomorrow. And then on Thursday I get to prep for my colonoscopy on Friday! w00t!

Love to all, and thanks for all the support.

Agree that Woody is better than fiat. It’s keeping with the new MMP theme of porn-related nicknames :).

Ya know, occasionally I wish I was not such a cell phone luddite. There’s a booth here sellin’ some kind of miracle foot goo. Seriously. I just saw people sittin’ with their feet in these little tubs of different goo proported to cure all kinds of ailments. Oh for a pic of that to post. It would so astound and amaze!

swampy, you must buy me some miracle foot goo!! Surely it will cure my dry, flaky skin, my high blood pressure, my thinning hair, and my tendency to turn purple when walking into doorknobs…

I must have it!!!

Ashes^2, (I don’t know how to make the superscript. I’m not that cool.) can you post a few reminder facts about yourself for those of us who either are newer or just have poor memories?

I want to plan an anniversary trip for our 5-year anniversary in December. Since it’s cold and dark here at that time of year, I want to go somewhere warm, but KT doesn’t like the whole Mexican/Caribbean resort scene. So we’ll probably stick to the US. We’ve been to San Diego, and that was great and probably the right sort of place for a winter trip. What other cities (and we only do cities, not hiking trips, not nature trips, not sit-on-the-beach trips, etc.) are good warm-weather cities? That would have decent weather in early December. And hopefully not outrageous airfare. Phoenix sounds like it meets those requirements, but what is there to do there? Other recommendations?

taxi, you [sup]do[/sup] it by [sup]typing[/sup] “[ sup ]” and “[ / sup ]” [sup]like this[/sup]

you can also do [sub]this[/sub] by typing sub instead of sup

[sup]up[/sup] and [sub]down[/sub] like [sup]on[/sup] a [sub]carousel[/sub]

 Thanks, rosie!

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

It was a nice, uneventful day. My tooth stopped bothering me and I put off getting the oil changed in my car for some very important napping. For supper, I had a sandwich from the last of the Isaly’s Chipped Chopped Ham. I searched high and low for some Brick cheese but had to make do with Swiss instead.

The girlfriend called me this morning and has grand lasagnia plans for me this weekend. Cake may be involved too.

While I get changing rosie’s nickname to rivets, this would also necessitate a color change to something more appropriate like this and I’d probably forget a lot as I’m a middle-aged creature of habit.

However, foot-goo is definitely a nickname in search of a mummper!

After I finish off this lemonade, I’m going to have some apple cider and a slice of apple pie to go with it. Yum!

rosie’s sig to all,
Bri2k

San Antonio would be a good place to visit in December, but my aunt lived there for years and would want to meet us there, and since it’s an anniversary trip… well, I want it to just be KT and me, not family!

**taxi **- how about Key West? Nice little walkable city, and with a rental car, you can drive to some of the other keys, if you like. Or go to Houston and hang with **Rebo **and lieu!!

We went there as part of our honeymoon cruise. Nice city, but probably not enough to see that we didn’t already see. But I’ll put it on the list and see what KT thinks. Thanks!

Taxi can I suggest Austin - may not be warm and sunny but should be OK. Savannah is also nice.

Yay boofae on re-employment

Thinking girly pink female thoughts for lili

Knee is soooooooore again pain killers are helping as is ice and elevation. I will not be driving to Arkansas next week for our monthly team meeting the 6 hour drive from here will kill me I think. I am going to stay off it for the rest of the week though.

Well apart from having to go get a Name affidavit notarised tomorrow for the closing docs on the house Apparently Wells Fargo doesn’t believe the ems Lastname is the same person as ems Middlename Lastname or ems Middleinitial Lastname even with many many copies of my ID’s and what I signed on the docs when I bought the house was ems Lastname although they are now insisting my legal name is ems Middleinitial Lastname when technically it is ems Middlename Lastname

I love banks :stuck_out_tongue:

Home! Home! Home! Ok, been home for a little over an hour but, Home! Away from the foot goo!

taxi maybe Miami? Nice and warm there in December. Nawlins is also nice that time of year.
