The weather came down and poured buckets of rain, so the outing was canceled. We are on weather alert, any change in the rain and we will just be ready to make a break for it!

Had a very long day yesterday, although it went by quickly. Yes, that makes little sense! I spent the majority of the day at work trying to put those reqs into the computerized system; I did a whole lot of work on one and it may all be wrong. That thought upsets me, but there’s little that can be done about it, unfortunately. There just was no one in our procurement office there yesterday to ask. :rolleyes:
Then after work, well after I waited until it stopped pouring rain that is, I met my daughter and we went to check out the pool where I’m going to go to walk in the water as exercise. The only thing now is that the bathing suit I ordered online is NOT lined at all! I’m going to call there next week and see if maybe they’ll let me wear underpants in the shorts. Sorry if this is a bit TMI. I wish I knew how to sew, I would make a lining and put it in there! LOL I am hopeless sewing, though.
Swampy, I’m sorry that you have to get up so early for work and on a Saturday! I’m up now and caffeinating, but when I got home last night I was pooped, so I’ve pretty much been asleep since 7 pm. Plus, I’ll go back to bed shortly.

Up after a very weird dream but an uninterrupted night. I was dreaming that I had to take some work-related training at this huge facility that was full of conference rooms and training labs and stuff. Everyone kept telling me how important it was that I log in by 8, but I couldn’t find anyone to tell me how to do it, and suddenly, I was walking down a main road with no shirt on… Then I woke up. Heck of a way to start the day.
**tarra **- if you’re wearing clean undies, why is it anyone’s business? Do they do inspections before they let you in the pool? Personally, I wouldn’t ask anyone anything. But I’m a rebel that way… 
Gonna have breakfast with **FCD **before class this morning. Oh, and the dryer works. Yay!!
That’s all I’ve got this morning. I need to shower and gather my tools. And pack a drink and a snack. Have a good Saturday!!! MWAH!!
Nava - yes I would be very worried for Hubby’s safety - since he has recovered from the Shingles he has been working out again to build his stamina back up to cope with 10 days with his wife who misses him. A lot.

We got a hell of a thunderstorm yesterday, and my clean house has muddy dog footprints all over it. Including my pillowcase and the comforter. <sigh> So they will be included in the laundry for today.
But before laundry, the stoopit critters are gonna get taken to the park, then bathed. Hopefully they’ll stay out of the mud!
(I guess I should be grateful they don’t pee on my bed! ;))

Good morning my lovelies. I slept in because I went to bed late and well, because I could!
We have a trip to Costco, a trip to the butcher store and a party to go to this evening for today’s plans.
We watched movies last night after dinner. I marinated boneless, skinless chicken breasts in a honey/teriyaki marinade and grilled them along with some pineapple slices. I put the grilled pineapple slices on top of the breasts and then topped that with a slice of swiss cheese. I then put nice buns on the table along with guacomole, mayo and ranch dressing. I chose to dress my bun with guacomole. It was very good.
I guess that’s all that’s going on in the Tater household. Right now, I’m just trying to caffienate so I can face the day.

Well - I washed the comforter. When I took i tout of the washer, guess what I discovered in the bottom of the machine? The TV remote. :eek: It didn’t work at forst, but it’s all better now. Lucky me! I’m stoopit sometimes.
Dinner will be grilled pork tenderloin, Crash Hot NOT, and zucchini/corn/bacon medley.
Oh, yeah - I watched Mamma Mia! So silly, but it was pretty good even if I did have to fast forward through Pierce Brosnan singing. I loved the credits! I laughed out loud when the guys entered the stage.
Home. Exhausted. An enlightening class but not too successful - everything I threw crashed. We managed to salvage one - the first - but the tireder I got, the worse I got. However, I know how one throws a big piece - I juat need to practice.
Supper will be shrimp and Amish corn and Amish 'maters. And maybe N.O.T. tots…
Have I mentioned that I’m exhausted?? I’m also sweaty and probably a wee bit stinky. Glad to be home in the a/c.

Ol’ y’all know who made dindin even. In my kitchen! :eek: Good thing I was at work when most of it happened! He made a pot roast with N.O.C. and N.OT. and steamed spareguts. He even had Parker House rolls. Ok, they were the frozen thaw and bake ones, but still, he baked! For lil’ ol’ me. AWWWWWWWW… Yeah, he actually can cook, just doesn’t hardly ever. As in almost never. Still, AWWWWW… he made me dindin.

Tomorrow is a big day chruchification wise. It’s brunch Sunday (he even made a broccoli/chicken casserole for that!) and the first Sunday with our brand new Priest.

We’ve returned from our shopping expedition at Costco. I’m very proud of us, we didn’t buy any kinds of sweets or junk food. Just meat, scallops, vegetables, and fruit. We also bought some cheese and a couple of easy prep items from the coldcase and freezer case.
We also stocked up on TP and paper towels. The real reason we stopped was because our cart was pretty much full. I was surprised at the total bill. I thought it would be a lot more, but we came in at $585.00. We’ve got enough food to last us for two weeks, at least.
I need to get ready to go to our friend’s party now.
Just take a shot in the morning and the priest won’t have to see you all hungover, Swampy.
