It’s taken you this long to recognize that fact???
Taters I like the way you think. What do you recommend, tequila, gin, or whiskey?
BTW, gt why do I not see Grilled Okra on the recipe blog?

I would go with whiskey, Swampy. That stuff will wake you right up!
I have gin. Life is good. I have to decide on dinner at some point.
swampy, for a new priest, go for tequila. For a leaving priest, whiskey.
Taters, I don’t spend that much to feed me and the zoo for a whole month. Unless you include beerverages.
Is there a set protocol for which alcohol should be on your breath when meeting a new priest? I would think it would depend on the ethnicity of said priest…
I made cheese ravioli for dinner with garlic bread and salad. It was good. Now I’m bored. Clean the bathrooms or waste time?
I vote for waste time. Bathrooms can always wait! They just get dirty again anyway…
TVCTPMO has been unusually active today.
A McDonald’s I went to for lunch insisted I recieve Dr. Pepper (bleck!) with my order when I said “diet”. The dolt at the drive thru would not change the order on the screen, but said it would be filled as a diet. It wasn’t. I parked and went inside to bitch; they got me a new Dr. Pepper. I was so pissed that I went back through the drive thru, handed them my order, insulted their future generations, and told them I’d never eat there again. Then I drove off without a refund.
I drove 2 hours each way today for a fire school, and was nearly run into head-on 3 times.
I literally pulled in to my drive way from that road trip, to be paged as an -I for an overdose call. I had to deal with blistering incompetence from a -B I’ve never worked with before, nor one of the squad juniors. I won’t give details on that, other than to say the incompetence had nothing to do with how the patient was cared for.
The date with the wife for Harry Potter 6 tomorrow is in doubt for wellness reasons on her part.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
It’s 4:44 here and I’ve been awake since 3:34. Blurf.
Oooh, sorry, swampy, I must have missed that recipe. Do you have a link to the post? (Or tell me approximately when it was…)
By the way, I think you’re it for Monday. :p:D
Hmmmm…how about you greet the new priest smelling of ouzo? Nice, licorice-y scent.
Sorry you can’t sleep, Nava.
I stayed up way too late last night. Tonight I’m quite sleepy, so maybe I’ll get a reasonable amount of shut-eye.
Didn’t get the kitchen cleared out, but cleaned out lots in the living room while watching movies. Also knitted some. I’m working on a little camera case that will fit in my purse (it’s my second one; I thought of what I hope will be a better design).
Off to sleepy-bye.

Being up at 5.30 on a Sunday should not be allowed…but up, showered, quick bite and the taxi to the airport arrives in 30 mins so I head off to Germany
Blurf.
Except for a 2AM nature call, I managed to sleep till 6:20 and I actually feel rested! Yay! I just heard the TV come on in the bedroom, so **FCD **is awake. It’s already overcast and dreary looking, and I foresee a lazy day.
Daughter is driving someplace way the heck out in western VA for “summer camp.” OK, it’s actually some sort of state training for teachers of 4th and 5th grade science, but it’s being held at a camp and the accommodations are cabins. They will have a/c so that, at least, is better than summer camp. She’ll be gone all week and we have custody of SIL till Friday.
Yoiks, **FCD **just came out a bit annoyed. Turns out I’d forgotten to turn off the TV’s alarm feature, so it came on at 7, just like I’d set it. And I need to reset it to 5 for work tomorrow. Anyway, I guess I’m on his “list” now. Sucks to be me…
Happy Sunday!
Awww, poor FCM and mmmmmmmmmmmm. Not the best ways to start a Sunday.
I woke up around 7, because that seems to be my current default setting. Not quite enough sleep, so I watched German TV for an hour or so and then got up. I’m slowly eating brekkies and knitting.
Then it’s more clean-up and then churchification.
Happy Sunday, everyone!
GT
Good Sunday morning all. I’m up and caffeinated already, but will probably head back to bed in a bit with my Sunday paper. It’s quite warm and still quite humid, even though we had t-storms roll through about 4 am  More t-storms are predicted here as well, later today. Like FCM, I predict a lazy day today. I can’t call about the swim shorts thing in the pool until Monday, btw; hopefully they’ll let me do what I want to. LOL Perhaps that’s not the best wording choice!
Anyway, I’m going to have a bit of brekkie and then read my paper and then nap! Enjoy your Sunday all.
Well, slow morning, eh?
Here, too. Loving the lazy. Daughter is on her way. SIL will be going to work in an hour or so. **FCD **is reading. I may or may not play with clay.
Loving the lazy… did I mention that??
I’m up and need to get in the shower. We’re supposed to go out to breakfast today.
We had a great time at our friend’s house. We had good food, lots of laughts, and Mr. Taters even won a hand of 99.
**Doggio, **there are four of us, plus a dog, fish, and birds in the family. One of our family members is a 16 year old young man. He eats a lot (but never gains an ouce), so I have to spend a few sheckels on groceries.
I guess I should start getting cleaned up. I just need a little more coffee first.
Herbs, I’m another in the don’t ask, just DO category. As long as your undies are beneath the swim shorts, there should be no problem at all. At my Y it’s a problem, say, if you’ve got a tshirt on over your suit as that would make it harder to rescue you. Otherwise, nobody’s going to know.
Wow, we are quiet today. I’ve started on kitchen cleaning and am invited for dinner at 5:30. I’m guessing I won’t finish cleaning today…
Howdy Y’all! Guess what! No hangover this mornin’. I did, however, sleep until seven thirty, so I had to get a move on with stuff. The casserole needed to be baked this mornin’, so I got that goin’ got some brekkies made and purtified for churchification.
We had a big (for us) crowd today what with it bein’ new Priest day and brunch Sunday. There was a ton of very nummy food! The Priest and his wife sat at the table we sat at and we all had a nice chat, so that was good. He asked if brunch Sunday was always like this with all the great food and I told him pretty much. They went to Germany and Turkey for two weeks and got back into town this past week. We discussed the joys of unpackin’ from a move. Mrs. Priest said there are a few boxes that for reasons unknown did not get labeled and she’s at the point of considerin’ just tossin’ ‘em out cause she’s so tired of unpackin’. I like the way she thinks.
I gotta get the new MMP written. I’m not workin’ tomorrow so I might wait until tomorrow mornin’ to post or I may do it tonight. You never know with lil’ ol’ unpredictable moi!
ETA: gt I think I mentioned grilled okra in a post on Saturday last weekend.
Well, it’s Monday in 96 minutes, yanow… taps watch impatiently
I guess that means I need to be makin’ up the OP?
Y’all will be pleased to know the new OP is now writ. I think I’ll make Nava suffer some more and wait two or three more hours before postin’ it.
