Foghorns 'R' Us, a navigational MMP

morning all–up and caffeinating here. Running a bit late this morning too, 'cause I woke up in the middle of the night. At least I was able to go back to sleep rather quickly.

I can’t look at those pics, Rigs, when I’m caffeinating! I also just had half of a bagel with the new Philly cream cheese with spinach and artichoke–which is pretty delicious, I must admit. omg, I’m channeling that Martin Short character! Time to stop! LOL

Happy Thursday all.

Happy Birthday BBBobbio!!!

In other news , back to work.
Paul, but mom a pickup truck, then she can have one of these.

tata, that sounds tasty.

To save y’all a whole lotta deja vu, today is VWife’s birthday. Mine is tomorrow.

And today’s forecast: sunny with light to moderate database errors.

BBBobbio, then you might wanna adjust your facebook profile, it says today.

Oh, look, Paul in the MMP!

Happy B’Day Bbbbb - BOBBIO!!!

Good morning! Funny how when you want to sleep in, the critters won’t let you…

I’ve been up a while. Everybody else is still asleep, or back to sleep. Yes, I’m looking at you, dogs!

Gonna go find something to eat, I think.

Happy birthday, VWife!

Hi Paul!

All I know is that the date I set in my profile is tomorrow’s.

Hurrah! It’s payday! I have sorted out my debts and I’m now solvent for another few hours before something else comes along.

I am tired today, we went out for beerverages last night, and had a little drop of Batham’s Best Bitter which was very nice. Of course, it means I didn’t get home until late and I had to be up early for work so I am suffering from the lack of sleep today.

'im indoors had to be up early too, we had a load of fence panels and stuff delivered at 8am, and apparently there’s a skip coming ridiculously early on Saturday too. A busy weekend is heading my way.

Good morning my lovelies and birthday wishes to Mrs. Vunder.

When I left work to go home yesterday, the temp read 114 degrees. During my whole 17 mile commute the temp never dropped below 109 degrees. I came home, changed and we immediately dashed out to a restaurant for dinner and drinks and then a movie. It was the only way to keep cool. My house was miserable.

We’re “cooling off” today. Temps will reach 99.

Today is my last day at work until 17 August. Wootity-woot! I’m finding it hard to keep motivated, but I do have some stuff I need to clear before I can leave today.

Hugs, smooches and gropes to all!

13 days til vacation starts

14 days almost to the hour til HubbyTime!

And the sad thing is you can probably feel the temperature difference, no?
I spent one summer in summer school sans AC (college apartment). It was a summer of one of the worst heat waves to hit Iowa (back then–they’ve since had worse). I remember feeling the difference between 95 and 105. Ugh.

Birthday wishes all 'round.

I grew up in a house without air conditioning. I was used to it, so it didn’t really bother me too much except instilling a livelong hatred of humidity in me (reason #6 why I live in the mountains now). Worst summer was 1993 when it was over 100 for a week. Miserable doesn’t even begin to touch it.

The drugs are good. I feel almost human today.

On the down side, since Nat got his shots yesterday, today he is a clingy, needy, irritable little person with a one nanometer fuse, and we are enduring the extreme cranky together.

On the extreme bright side, I haven’t thrown up today, and have eaten lots. Okay, toast, but lots of toast.
Hugs all round, and I’m going to have a nap.

HAPPY BIRFDAY TO VWIFE!!!

Rosie’s sig to everybody else.

So I went back to the ENT doc for the vertigo recheck and now she wants me to come back on Monday so they can try to make me dizzy. :dubious: See she says she thinks I got something going on more than the calcium crystals breakin loose oncet in a while. Oh, maybe because my balance is all shot to hell. Anyway this test is to see if I have some kind of weakness in my inner ear and to hopefully rule out some abnormality (read brain lesion) requiring at the very least an MRI.

I am REALLY over this shite. :stuck_out_tongue:

Tupug

I’ve discovered that if I sign up for on-campus housing (single bedrooms in shared flats) before August 22nd, I’ve got a place guaranteed and it’s way cheaper than finding a flat outside campus. The fee is lower than a rental, no housing tax, broadband…

I’ve signed up. Now hoping my flatmates and me are compatible (I’m not asking for three nerds, just, you know, clean and not too-noisy people who don’t freak out at me being one and who Do Not Leave Half A Glass Of Juice In The Carton).

Happy Bday VWife! I knew that today is her bday and tomorrow is BBBobbio’s birthday cause I’m smart.

Yay on no throwuppiness LiLi. May the throwuppiness never come back.

Anybody else picturin’ the doc puttin’ a blindfold on Puggy then havin’ a whole bunch of people spin her round and round?

When I was but a wee cub, we did not have ac. In Jawja. Nobody in the 'hood did. Then my folks went and had central heat and a/c installed. The first in the 'hood. We were trendsetters. Soon, most of the neighbors followed suit. My folks were also the first to buy a color teevee. Soon, other color teevees appeared throughout the 'hood. Da folks had wall to wall carpeting installed, and soon, it was installed in houses all over the 'hood. We shall not speak of the havoc wrought on the dads from the other moms in the 'hood when mom got a complete kitchen overhaul and remodel. Our last name isn’t Jones but we were the ones to keep up with!

Home. I need a good sleep tonight. For some reason, last night, I could *NOT *fall asleep. So I’m in zombie mode again.

Supper will be poke chops and assorted sides. Ice cream bars for dessert. Then some knitting.

Dryer will be repaired tomorrow, in theory. I may take the afternoon off, just because. We shall see.

Yay on the knitting project, Muppet! Welcome to the dark side. We have yarn.

Yay for not throwing up, LiLi, but sorry about the crankiness.

I lived in the mountains when I was young so we didn’t have or need AC. Now we have it, but thanks to **Taters ** (and even **kai **to some extent!) keeping all the hot weather out there, we haven’t needed it except maybe two days this summer. Our electric bill last month was $60. Good deal.

{{Puggy}} Hope they manage to figure it out soon-like. Vertigo is not fun.

Speaking of throwuppiness… I’m seriously considering grabbing some McD’s on the way home, mostly because The Boy is teaching tonight and I’ll be on my own for dinner, plus I’m in a grumpy mood and maybe eating something unhealthy will cheer me up.

However, since McD’s makes me feel nauseous within 15 minutes of ingestion, that might be a bad idea. Someone wanna talk me out of it?
