Damn, these clowns really know no shame, do they? Here’s the story:

Anyway this comment that someone left on there pretty much sums my thoughts:

Anyway this comment that someone left on there pretty much sums my thoughts:
Think the timing with his visit to India is a coincidence?
Wow. That’s pretty blatant.
Well, he’s a known anti-imperialist, afterall.
What are you talking about? So what? You know how one time this other network was overzealous in pursuing a true story and credulously used forged documents? And what’s wrong with the headline? Did or did not Sitting Bull kill a U.S. general? If he did, then what’s the complaint?
I don’t see whay they stopped there. Obama also praised:
The marijuana grower who led an armed insurrection against the legitimately recognized government of the first 13 states
An “artist” obsessed with the human vagina
A baseball player who was at the center of one of the most controversial sports incidents of the 20th century
Nitpick: Custer was a colonel at Little Bighorn.
No, actually, although I sense a strong sense of irony in your post. Not any more than Santa Anna personally killed William Travis at the Alamo. In fact, I don’t think Sitting Bull was even a strategic commander in the Battle of Little Big Horn.
And a noted anti-imperialist as well.
Come on, let’s not play stupid here. Yes, the headline may technically be true (I don’t know enough about the Battle of Little Big Horn to tell you how or even whether or not Sitting Bull is indeed responsible for the death of Custer). But the way it’s worded, it’s designed solely for the purpose of inciting yet another faux outrage about how Obama hates all that is good about America.
As I said before, the folks at Fox are utterly shameless. They’re the Eric Cartman of the news landscape. If they thought they could score some mileage out of a headline that said “Obama sleeping with black chick” I have no doubt that they would run with it.
If I’m reading Rhythmdvl’s post right, he is playing. In other words, you done got wooshed.
Custer got his entire command wiped out because he was an idiot. I don’t think Sitting Bull was actually a battlefield commander, but I may be mistaken. That said, Boo Hiss to Fox News for this one. Really no excuse for what they’ve done here.
It was Crazy Horse who put the Lt. Colonel down for his dirt nap.
Along with many others (Rain-in-the-Face, Chief Gall, etc.). Custer attacked during a conference of many war leaders of Cheyenne, Sioux and a few Arapaho so there wasn’t really a supreme commander. In addition to Custer himself two of his brothers, a nephew, a brother-in-law and a cousin were killed there- bad day for the Custer family in general.
Trivia: U.S. Grant’s son Fred was supposed to have been there but had been given home leave because his wife had just had a baby.
Kinda like the guy that walked right by the police car outside to attempt a robbery of a gun store. :smack:
IIRC, it was Gall’s encirclement that put paid to Custer’s band. They swept up over Last Stand Hill from the back side and that was that. No way of telling when Numbnuts bought it, of course.
Lots of Bull from FOX.

The most likely killer of Custer was another Bull: White Cow Bull, then less likely but possible there were others like Brave Bear and Old Bear (No relation to Running Bear who loved Little White Dove
)
White Cow Bull is a strangely hermaphroditic name, isn’t it?
I went to the website to verify this story, as it’s not uncommon for these things to be taken things out of context, or otherwise reported less than accurately. As it turns out, the story is exactly correct.
However… if you go to Fo xNews and do a search for this story, you don’t get anything. At least, I didn’t get anything. You have to go to “Fox Nation” to find it. Fox Nation appears to be part of Fox News, but I’m wondering why Fox News doesn’t like to the story.
Is there some sort of distinction they are trying to make between Fox News and Fox Nation?
I vote for poor translation. Probably better translated as just “White Bull”, where bull= steer, and not a bull buffalo, for example.
