Aeschines sometimes says unusual things when you remind him of his prediction. Remember what a weasel he was when several people, most explicitly OneCentStamp, tried to place bets with him about the demise of SDMB? I reminded him his prediction once. His reply was interesting:

Dopers have been searching for an answer to that for about 10 years, when the first troll showed up on the AoL board.
Okay this is going too far. Aeschines was being an insensitive twat, but being repelled by fat people is nothing like racism.
Ships from New York and New England did not arrive in Charleston harbor with captives from Fat-frica to be sold into slavery. One half the country did not develop a political culture based on subjugating fat people, in order to prevent their former Fat-Frickin’ slaves from having crazy fat sex with their skinny daughters, for fear of what would happen if they were to know “Strange Lipids.” There is no state of New Fatxico, where stupid skinny guys cruise around in pickup trucks hoping to get a head shot at one of the “fatbacks” crossing the Rio Gordo. Fat people were never dispossessed of their property en masse and forced to march 1000 miles to Oklahoma.

I didn’t read the whole thread in question, skimmed a lot of it, but I don’t recall where he described then as worthless. He has a physical dislike and is not very diplomatic about it, I suppose, but I find it far different than a racial epithet.
I’ve often wondered what point [del]people[/del] trolls like him have for posting shit like that? Why stay on a board when you’ve made it perfectly obvious that the people, moderation, and guiding ethos are all horrible? Maybe it’s due to the fact that this shit-stupid troll can’t understand why “getting a rise out of people” or stirring up shit “because you like battle” are bad things and are covered under the umbrella term of trolling?
In any case, it’d be good if the troll would use his magic psi powers to wrench his head out from his rectum, but even magic has its limits.
Why does he do it? I just put it down to “de gustibus non est disputandum”, something someone else seems to enjoy that simply mystifies me. The thread in which he offered up his rectum was a pit thread he started about people putting for sale signs in cars parked on the street. He was reduced to typing “fuck you” in a large font before that one burned out.
And think about our recently rebanned visitor. He had to change ISPs, email addresses and presumably credit cards to get back in. Why? Is it so much fun to troll us? I guess for some it is.
Wow! If that guy had a few bucks, he’d probably still pop up now and again to tell us how pathetic and stupid we are.

(Aeschines, FWIW, I’m really interested in your reply to my post as I’m facing a similar situation in another forum where I’m being labeled a troll, although I have to admit that my posts haven’t taken on the abrasive quality of yours. . .yet)
Bryan Ekers, while I don’t pretend to speak for Aeschines (heck, I can’t even search his posts as a guest), I will say from what I’ve seen in this thread and the one that spawned it, that it might be part of Aeschines’ point that being banned for abrasive behavior on a board that applauds abrasive behavior on some subjects seems a little ironic. For example, here’s another Pit post where the person’s satire was applauded in the Taco bell thread

Oddly, it doesn’t appear that the forum rules here or indeed most of the forum rules I’ve ever seen agree with your statement here.

People make generalizations about groups of people here all the time such as,
Trolls are. . . .
Christians are. . . .
Moms are. . . .
Government workers are. . .
If people weren’t able to make generalizations about any group of people, it would be very quiet here.

I just thought I’d mention a slight issue of nomenclature that might reduce the danger of a communications breakdown sometime in the future. “Forum.” It’s my understanding that there are message boards where the term “forum” refers to the message board as a whole.
Around here, the message board as a whole is called the Board (or the SDMB, or the Dope). The term “forum” is generally understood to refer to the nine subdivisions of the Board.
Here’s why the distinction is significant: Some poster at the Dope is also a member of a message board called the “Embroidered Tablecloths Message Board.” He comes into MPSIMS at the SDMB to share a funny story from the Embroidered Tablecloths board. He says, “I heard a funny story about embroidered tablecloths on a different forum.” People are going to think he’s talking about a thread in Cafe Society. When they try to find the thread, they’ll get all confused and annoyed about their search-fu abandoning them at the most inopportune moments.
While the example above is deliberately innocuous and far-fetched, the breakdown in communications that it represents has occurred in the past, and not always with innocuous results. So I hope you’ll take the above in the spirit in which it is offered.
Hey kaylasdad99, thanks for the welcome! I’m on the verge of shelling out the $15 just because it’s so difficult to write a decent post without the search function. I had no idea how much I relied on the search function in the past on other boards. I’m waiting, however, to get out my most controversial posts out of the way so that I’m not banned right after I fork over my money. That would just add insult to injury. 
Yes, I’ve used the terms board and forum interchangeably in the past on other message boards. Thanks for pointing out the distinction on this one and and explaining it so well.
All I can say is that you should read the thread and linked threads again. He bemoans that the ethos of this board tends towards the scientific method, and his merry band of “New Agers” are persecuted. (Although, of course, he’ll lie and tell you now that he doesn’t feel like he’s a martyr, next week he’ll be nailing himself back up on the cross.) He has said that the moderation of this site will lead to its demise. Etc.
Yes… he also said that he’d never been warned with the possibility of being banned (for being a troll). I showed that he was lying through his teeth on that topic.
Then he claimed that he had really never said that he hadn’t been warned. So, I quoted him saying just that. Caught out in two lies what was his reaction?

Fallacy of equivocation, as he has quite clearly not just predicted the demise of the forum, but predicted it due to its guiding ethos. I should also note, he finds our Prime Directive to be objectionable as well, as, evidently, “getting a rise out of people” and coming here to start fights because you “love battle” are both things he enjoys… and they’re both clear acts of Being a Jerk.
You are ignoring the context of his bluster; the claim was that, due to moderation and the guiding ethos of the board, it would go down the drain. All this after we banned one of the worst trolls in recent memory, who our troll OP has defended. (Of course, he’s lied about defending people in the past, so we can expect him to “say things” in this thread about that too, I suppose.)

I don’t give two shits whether you find fat people attractive. I’m willing to bet that most fat people don’t care one way or the other. Lots of people don’t find me attractive. Some people don’t like brunettes or people with curly hair or big racks or wide feet or glasses. Some people don’t like women. If I meet a gay guy who likes tall, blond Nordic men, I am not offended because he does not like short Eastern European-looking women.
What pretty much everyone here takes issue with is your consistent and pan-subject opinion that nobody else’s opinion matters. You do not debate, you do not discuss, you simply state your opinion in a cloud of disgusted shock with anyone who does not share it, adding a disingenuous request for understanding. Visibly gritting their teeth, people who disagree with you attempt to enter into a discussion, whereupon you spray your feces all over them.
You remind me of the man who came to my university every year to ‘debunk evolution’, hauling out his microphone into the West Mall and setting up a place for people to debate with him. But he wasn’t debating – all he did was interrupt and personally insult anyone who stepped up to the plate.
That’s what people are really taking offense at. It’s not that you don’t find fat people sexy. It’s not even that you find them repellent. It’s that you just can not comprehend anyone sane having a different opinion. About anything. And even that’s fine, but then when people argue and disagree you start to whine about being oppressed by the jackbooted thuggish moderators.
News flash, buddy. The SDMB is NOT an unlimited free speech zone. If it was, there would be no such thing as banning. But people don’t tend to get banned for having opinions counter to those of the general populace… they get banned for being dickheads.
You don’t want an honest debate. You want a place where people agree with everything you say. You aren’t going to find that here.
