So my favorite Irish pub had a soft opening today, so I went and had a couple of pints.
The Guiness rep was buying pints, so I ended up spending more on parking than on beer.:dubious:

I really, *really * wanted to take tomorrow off to go see an even more impressive World Championship, but between being up till twoish this morning (watching the game, the trophy presentations & some of the post game stuff), Sat being a long day (18-20 hrs & 200+ miles in the car), & Sun only being 150ish miles I thought a nice, quiet day a irk might be better.

Dinner was taco salads but to be frank I was too tired to care. One long-assed day.
TGIF! I came in to find a pile of stuff on my desk, so I’ve got work this morning, which is good. **FCD **plans to spend the day detailing his new toy, making me even gladder that I’m in the office. 
I’m hoping this weekend we can get the mulcher/vac serviced so I can start on the leaves. They’re starting to come down at a serious rate and if they get too deep, they’re a major pain to manage. Weather promises to be nice - I just need to drag my sweetie away from the car and into the shed to deal with the mulcher. No small task there…

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 64 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 84 and clear for the day. Temps are supposed to drop over the next few days. We shall see. I’m still dealin’ with the crud so not much planned for the day. Grilled chikin sallit is on the menu for this evenin’. Easy enough to prepare and tasty. Other than that to day will include serious sloth.
OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, who knows. I may go back to bed. Or not. It’s a willy-nilly day!

Nuts in response to your quail posts, did you know they are quite tasty? Quail are plentiful here to the point there is an entire season to hunt quail. Fried quail, rice ‘n gravy and bizkits make for some fine eatin’! I haven’t had a good ol’ quail supper in a long time. Now I’m hungry for fried quail. What? They are tasty little things!
Quail is indeed good eating. There is a place near Greensboro Jawja that we buy quail by the case sometimes.

I don’t normally drink a lot but just finished what is always my biggest drinking week of the year. Just a couple every night of the World Series adds up. Between going to bed at a normal hour & detoxing the liver last night I feel good today. Of course that wont last; I need to meet someone at 4:30 aay em tomorrow. :eek:
Actually, when he called me, he was almost done and planning to “blow the carbon out” this afternoon.

It’s N.O.S. and chilly outside.
Poor kitty is having tummy troubles and while he is using the litter box, he has bad aim and there was a mess all around the little box. What a delightful mess to wake up to!
I’m going to cut down a box to make a tray under the litter box.
Other than that SSDD.
I’m on vacation next week. Co-worker was feeling super sick, so I told her I’d stay to close today, and she could leave early, which was very nice of me. I even went to lunch an hour early so she could get out of here as soon as possible without having to stay to cover while I was gone. And now I’m sitting here with two and a half hours to go and nothing to do. I regret everything.
Sari, I buy puppy pee pads to put under the cat box. I learned this AFTER the cat had diarrhea on my 6 month old taupe carpet. You could also use newspaper.
Nappage has been acheived. Now I am havin’ some peanut butter crackers and Diet Coke. Sallit is made and grillage of chikin will commence when OYKW arrives. I am feelin’ some better so I guess the meds are doin’ what they’re supposed to do. Rah for that.
