Never thought of this as being typical. Living 5 minutes away, I’d say it’s odd. I’ve never gone over to a friend’s house and expected to shower there as part of the visit, or vice versa. Maybe I’m the oddball here.
Nope, you’re not the oddball. The “five minutes away” makes that weird. It might not be so weird if it was a longer distance (like if someone was participating in a sporting event an hour away from home and then planning to hang out with a friend who lives near the event ), but to save 10 minutes of traveling?
Ditto. It would never occur to me to ask to use a friend’s shower under those circumstances.
I like my towels. I like my soap. I like my privacy in my bathroom. If far prefer to just use my shower.
You want to turn off that webcam then.
So the next time he asks to shower at your house to save 10 or fewer minutes of travel time, what’s your plan? Because personally I’d wait until he’s in there, sneak into the basement, and shut off the hot water. Or all the water.
