Fuck you, republican animals!!!!!!!!!

Nor is his posse of enablers.

Yeah, I was really just mocking k9bfriender who said it seriously in another asahi thread:

You failed miserably on that, once again. Maybe you just aren’t too good at this sort of thing.

And you have outed yourself as not just a troll, but a stalker too.

Lol. You don’t know what “stalker” means either.

Someone who just can’t let things go, who brings their failure at trolling another poster from one thread to another, trying desperately to score some internet points with someone, anyone at all? You’re right that’s not really a stalker, stalkers usually aren’t so pathetic as you make yourself out to be.

Nice that you don’t even try to rebut my observation of your trollishness.

Meh, you are just as tiresome and boring as the last time. Try to do something new, at least. All this feeding, and you still can’t grow as a troll?

Once again, you are dismissed. I know I asked you to try to be less pathetic next time, but I realize that that is asking quite a bit of you, I expect that next time, you will be just, or more pathetic as the last, you just aren’t really capable of much more.

What’s to rebut? You think a troll accusation requires a denial? Calling you on your blather isn’t trolling. There, rebutted.

.But tell me, what do you think of your canary’s performance in this thread?

As far as the “at least he’s not” list goes, I can add a bunch more, but he’s still annoying. **asahi **would still shine like a beacon in an ocean of deplorables with his sweeping generalizations. He’s like Michael Avenatti in that he’s technically on my side, but sweet Og, just stop with the constant histrionics.

Hmmm, who exactly brought up my “blather” in this thread?" Wasn’t me. Musta been the troll.

Given what I have seen so far, I can tell that you are incapable of reading for context.

The point of what I said in that other thread was a dismissal of Asashi’s specific concerns. I was pointing out that Asashi’s behavior was merely a warning, not that he was the problem, and that he wasn’t going to be a part of the solution. If you really wanted to get into it, I could have agreed that the metaphor did not hit on all points, but, as I said in that thread, you doubled down on the stupid, and made wild and ridiculous accusations that could not be taken seriously, as they were so fucking stupid, that I couldn’t believe that a functional adult would make them.

So, maybe you are not a troll, but you are just so fucking stupid that no one would ever believe that you are a functional adult. Your choice as to how you wish to be perceived.

Oh, I’m stupid? What the hell is ‘I was pointing out that Asashi’s behavior was merely a warning, not that he was the problem, and that he wasn’t going to be a part of the solution.’ supposed to be responding to? Did I say you were saying any of that? No, I was responding to what you actually said and continue to believe: that a whackjob on the internet like asahi has some kind of predictive powers because he is “sensitive” to authoritarianism beyond normal rational people.

Get a room!

Yeah, and that is why you are a stupid, stupid troll. That is not what I said, and it is certainly not what I “continue to believe”. It is only what you have chosen to believe I said, because either you suck at reading, or just an out and out troll just looking to stir up trouble.

I don’t care which, as either way, you are tiresome and not out to fight even your own ignorance, so I am done with you.

Sayin’. It doesn’t matter if we get a room or not, that fucker seems to not be able to stop thinking about me.

Lol, it’s exactly what you said. In this very thread. I really love the old unrelenting confidence though. Shows you’ve really put your time in the internet flamewar trenches. No troll, you. Just keep pretending you didn’t say what you said and everyone who disagrees is the troll. Classic.

Oh, and also I’m ‘stalking’ you because I recalled an earlier thread where you defended the nutjob OP of this thread. Also, a classic.

Are you a fucking retard? First, like I said, it was an analogy.

Even then, those who went apeshit got trampled, jammed against the doors and making it impossible to open them. People died because others trampled them into the floors.

Had they REMAINED in control of themselves, they would’ve found out, “hey, this situation is fucked up, but if we remain calm, we can find a way to get everyone out.”

(Granted, human beings generally don’t work that way. Often in disasters, we revert to our lizard brains. But it usually doesn’t work out in our favor)

If the only solution you have is to run around and scream, “FUCK YOU TRUMP!!!”, I’m sorry, you deserve to get taken in. Because you’re a fucking dumbass.

And the rest? What are you going to do about them? Voting the current batch of Republicans out of power is all good and fine, but it won’t change their nature; the hoi polloi will still vote for whoever throws them their red meat and the meat throwers will still be cool with right-wing authoritarianism. What are you going to do about that?

I don’t advocate violence so much as just predict it. I’m all for, as I said, enshrining these norms McConnell and friends piss on into law so they can’t misbehave like this again. Putting elections in the hands of a non-partisan organization might not be a bad idea either, considering the relentless need Republicans have for what I’m told is Voter Confidence.

These ideas may all suck; I’m not any sort of political strategist. But thinking all will be well once Trump and his current band of idiots are out of power is a mistake because Republicans will Republican again. And so I asked “what then?” Something will have to be done about them Republicans other than unelecting them or this will all start over. And the next guy may be smarter and more competent than Trump. He could hardly be less so, right?

Not so. I believe your political institutions still have enough life in them such that current and future fascist wannabes can be stopped before they start. Violent revolution isn’t the only solution at this point. Pretty sure I’ve never advocated incarceration or execution without a trial.

However, I’m all for punching the nazi. Always punch the nazi. It’s what they’re there for.

iswydt

Ah, well this is the key point. I don’t think they’ll ever be completely out of power. It’s like planning on what to do once you get a billion dollars. I’m working on just how I’m supposed to get there in the first place, and you’re taking me to task for not having a plan ready for it - I’m not sanguine about the chances we’ll ever really get there at all, so it’s more in the realm of daydreams than realistic scenarios.

But in any case, the ‘what then?’ still involves educating the populace so the situation is less likely to happen again. And preserving their voting rights. And doing something about extreme gerrymandering. And in being ever vigilant and working to prevent at least the worst of the assclowns from holding power in the first place.

As for beyond that, there are already some anti-corruption measures floating about, which the current batch of Republicans have been fighting. There’s been an increase in discussions, at the very least, and tests in different voting methods (including ranked systems, which I do like), in judicial term limits, in just about every aspect of our government. Are there definite plans that can be realized soon? No, because no single idea has the support of a sufficiently large group. That’s again where short timeframes are unreasonable. Democracy is supposed to work as a marketplace of ideas and, unfortunately, it really does take time for any of these ideas or plans to develop and win the support of a sufficient number of people.

So, yes, there are plans in motion. There’s no single plan or set of plans because we’re not a fucking autocracy and don’t plan on becoming one. As with anything involving several different groups of people with often wildly different priorities, getting buy-in on a ‘master set’ of plans or even a vague singular platform is difficult to impossible. That’s supposed to be a feature, actually.

That does put us at risk for a repeat of the current mess, but the alternative, if the OP is representative, appears to be an equally ridiculous tyranny of the left, which the left is generally pretty good about avoiding from the get-go.

My god, you are tiresome. You think I “defended” Asashi? That’s beyond stupid on your part. I was dismissing what he was saying, pointing out that his flipping out is just a symptom of the environment that we are in. People were all complaining about his posts, and that he was not offering solutions, I was just pointing out that that was not any more helpful. He has nothing useful to say that we don’t already know, and he has no solutions other than crazy reactionary and unproductive ideas, but bitching and whining about that is not any more productive.

You seem to think that canaries have some super sense, this isn’t the MCU, you dumb fuck. They are not super sensitive, they are overly sensitive. They succumb when healthy adult humans do not, as Asashi has succumbed where healthy stable minds (unlike your own) do not.

And you really are having trouble quitting me. From your first completely unprovoked stupid post out of the blue, declaring that that is not what a canary in the coal mine is, to where you went after Asashi, incorrectly naming me as his defender, then in this thread, thinking that you would be clever and think that your drivel is mocking, you have been pursuing me. I would note that you posted what you “recalled” before I ever posted in this thread. You were not responding to something that I said, you made the decision to bring it up on all on your own. You were thinking of me! I’d be flattered, but then, it’s you, so I’m not.

Now, note how other posters responded to “your claim” that Asashi was a canary. They didn’t call you out, or claim you didn’t know what a canary was, they just gave examples of metaphors that they felt better fit. That’s constructive. Those are good posters, and even though they were thinking that your claim there was original to you, and not your pathetic attempt of dragging up something from several days ago and a thread away, they offered helpful suggestions to improve your metaphor, rather than try to claim that you have said something that you clearly have not.

Your little one liners are not constructive. They do not further progression of discussion, they do not provide any new or interesting ideas, they do not provide any useful information. They are just stirring up shit in order to score yourself some self awarded internet points, or trolling for short.

Just accept it, you offer nothing useful or productive to contribute to this board, so you are left to simply snipping at the ankles of your betters. You know that you will win a shit throwing contest, because you like being covered in shit, and that’s a win in your shitty little mind.

But troll on, my friend, if that is what makes you happy, troll on. Just don’t think that anyone is impressed or even amused by your dancing around covered in your own shit.

No, I am not retarded, Guin. At least I have never been diagnosed…

I think you are misunderstanding me. Is staying calm usually better than going apeshit? Yeah, I agree with your conclusion. But your examples don’t really support the conclusion. You have presented examples where people are in a death trap and their behavior doesn’t really matter- calm or apeshit, there is but one exit and they are doomed. How does that prove your point? Trapped people whose hair is literally (in the literal sense of literal) on fire aren’t helped by a lecture. They’re helped by a priori regulation in the form of building and fire codes, because once they’re trapped in a badly designed, burning building, it is too late to behave their way out of it.

Do you see? Yeah, staying calm is better. And I sure hope the current situation is not analogous to a death trap. I believe that is the case, and so disagreeing with your poor analogy is not the same as disputing your conclusion.

You really are a complete idiot; guess that’s why you assume everyone else is.

But you’ve been feeding the troll, investing dozens of paragraphs of invective. If people here didn’t react, the trolling would be less intrusive.

::sigh::

This thread is a perfect example of “When the Dope goes bad.”
