FWIW, Dr Bob teaches at Hopkins when he’s not doing his surgical thing. Tho he does his surgicals at Good Samaritan, which has been the best hospital we’ve ever dealt with.
OK, I’m a bit biased because he and my bro were roomies in college and Bob has done surgicals on my bro, bro-in-law, uncle, dad, and, of course, my spousal unit. I’ll drive all the way to Baltimore if I ever have orthopedic issues.

This mornin’, just for fun, ok, not fun but to avoid paperirk and cause it needed to be done, two of us got into a file cabinet full of unknown stuff. We trashed three fourths of it, moved the remaining fourth to a two drawer cabinet in my orifice which had already been cleaned out. Then we shifted some very crowded closed files (we must keep for seven years) to the newly emptied file cabinet and we two empty file drawers even. Go Us!
Yeah, I live on the edge.

We had a good giggle watching college freshmen raiding and pillaging the local Target store. One overheard conversation included “Why do I need plates?” and there was a cart at the checkout loaded up with ramen, single-serve mac&cheese, frozen pizzas and more ramen.

Yeah, the drive to the Queen City of the Patapsco River Basin is pretty easy, especially if you can do it off-rush, then go up 5 to the DC beltway to the BW Parkway - fewer lights than 301 to 97. And for me the advantage of heading up there is getting free lunch from my mom!
Just waiting for the kid to arrive - we need to get out of here around 12. I should have a sammich before we go - no way I can survive till 4 without a little something. I’m thinking ham an swiss…

So there’s a whole bunch of the old artwork from my single days upstairs in a storage room. Mainly it’s just stuff from travels I made or a gem & mineral show or the like that no longer fit. That’s cool but looking through it the other day I did kinda miss some of the stuff and then it hit me… use it to decorate the closet. There’s probably a 12’ ceiling and lots of wall space above all the racks so last night I hauled in a ladder and hung 3 prints and a folk art sculpture. Yanno, it looks freakin’ awesome, makes the closet actually appear bigger and I get to enjoy old memorabelia. Too bad there was no place for a lava lamp.

The EGR prob on Ford Diesels is a common one and usually an easy fix, helped a buddy do this on his Excursion. The Ford forums have the details but the short version is…
Remove egr and clean it with brake clean or carb cleaner
Use a shotgun cleaning brush and above cleaner to get as much soot as possible out of main egr tube, some will go into the exhaust, when you fire it up there will be a huge cloud of black soot
Reset codes by disconnecting both batteries for ten or fifteen minutes
Check out the forums for details but the took only a couple of hours for us YMMV

MOOOOOOM the weather PTB are issuin’ tropical storm warnin’s for the Carribean. Hope that does not mess with the cruisin’. However, just in case, I think you should call the cruise line to let 'em know because we all know they never pay attention to the weather forecasts out on the seas. Then tell your MIL you did this. She’ll be proud!
What fun it would be to draft a fake email from the cruise lines to Mom thanking her for alerting the to the storm. Then she can forward it to MIL and all will be well in the world.
Uh oh, someone is going to give the FCMIL palpitations! Shame on you all. 
I think she said they were going to Bermuda, though, so maybe the storm won’t affect them at all.
I am waiting for UPS to deliver a package and of course they have not. Someone did knock on the door earlier this morning, I called out, “wait a minute, I’ll be right there!” and made my way to the door, but by the time I got there, there was NO ONE there nor in the area. Gah, I hope it was not UPS. 
I wonder how you say, “just a minute, I’ll be right there!” en Espanol? It might be worth knowing, at this point.
Ok, what the HELL is up with this congressman from Missouri?! Geesh! I know, I don’t normally go for anything political, but my gosh, this guy doesn’t even know basic biology? A legitimate rape?! It’s just so astonishingly awful. Even though he has “apologized” I think he still believes what he said. :dubious:
