Galavant returns tonight (1/3) and I'm so excited!

Oh, man, the Giants vs. the Dwarves! This was one awesome episode! Who else is loving themselves some Galavant?

I loved the Giants vs Dwarves, and the song that went with it! But I am partial to performances by groups of men. I wish the show was available on my cable company’s On Demand - I’d like to see it again.

I know I’m going to go get me a pet Dragon!

I don’t remember Galavant losing his sword?

I enjoyed the giants vs. dwarves storyline and West Side Story style musical number. I’m also glad the mind-control story with Isabella has finally ended, because it was IMHO stupid and boring. I would have been more interested in a plot where Isabella was actually making her own choices, even if they were bad ones. Like maybe she could have decided she might as well try to make the best of things and at least have a good wedding, get carried away (thanks in part to the influence of the evil wedding planner), and then come to her senses when Princess Jubilee reminded her that princesses don’t have to be stereotypically “princessy”.

Speaking of Princess Jubilee, she was kinda fun but I get the feeling we’ll never see her again and I’m getting tired of guest stars that appear for the sole purpose of singing one song and then promptly disappear. It didn’t help that this was a cameo appearance by someone I didn’t even vaguely recognize. I checked her Wikipedia page and I’m guessing that Sheridan Smith must be fairly well known in the UK, but she’s not famous in the US. I wouldn’t consider this a problem if she’d been given a real role, even if just for the one episode, but this “Here’s this week’s special guest to sing us a song! / Thanks for the tune, and goodbye forever!” stuff falls even flatter when I have no idea who the guest star is.

I loved the Forest of Amazing Coincidences.

“Prophesies always come true; that’s just science”

I also loved the zombies singing the “uh huh, uh huh” parts in the Grease/Summer Nights parody.

Sid - Maybe he’s only mostly dead, and that means he’s partly alive !?
Neo (of Sporin) - thats not a thing.

‘That sky thing is doing its shiny thing’

‘We love you too SIR!’

I think I’ll need supplemental oxygen for next week.

BTW - there was a great Princess Bride call back last week - the main Giant was named ‘Andre’.

I was kind of hoping that the healer would turn out to be Miracle Max and be played by Billy Crystal.

Speaking of Princess Bride references, at first I thought Galavant’s dad was Christopher Guest.

Or at least could have said

'Good Luck Storming the Castle…" on the way out.

The Princess rap battle was the best thing ever.

If you would have told me early in season 1 that Richard would become the character I am most rooting for, I wouldn’t have believed it. That’s not to say Richard wasn’t hilarious, but in season 1 he was hilarious in the silly bad guy vein. But now… who doesn’t love Richard (I mean aside from Madelena, but she’s the worst - maybe even more than Bobbie ;))

But I guess we won’t be seeing the unicorn any more.

“Soon your castle and your ass’ll be mine!” - that’s comedy gold right there!!

When the unicorn showed up again, I nearly died. Sunday’s two episodes, especially the first one, were the best of the season.

Very fun season(series?) finale.

Such a short season…hope it has a Season 3. I’m FOAF with the writers, but it’s not a close enough relation to get that kind of detail.

I just like all the spots where they break the fourth wall and admit their world is a half-hour sitcom format. That, and the use of a Wilhelm.

I’m so glad Richard got his dragon.

“We’re not gonna die, we still got one episode left…”

…but doing the blackout anyway.
