All righty. I’ve picked up my earnin’s for Oct - a whopping $10.26 for one pair of fingerless mitts. I deposited that plus FCD’s b-day check plus all the coinage in the cup on FCD’s dresser. There was more than twice as much coinage as my earnings… eeeesh. Anyway, that’s all been deposited, groceries have been obtained and put away, and I’m thinking about what to have for lunch before I venture out to de-leaf part of the yard.
What I want to do is snooze…
Lunch is soup, because is frickin’ cold out today, and my having soup will warm it up
Bed at 3:30, up at 8. Leg is achy, but not too bad. Supposed to stay of of it this weekend, then I hobble in the boot until right before Turkey-Day. Turkey-Day is at my sister’s so I guess that works.

I went to the Irish Rovers 50th Anniversary Tour show last night with my daughter (a birthday gift from her). If you like Irish/Celtic music, they’ve still got what it takes to put on a lively and entertaining concert.
The back yard has had much of the ground leafage sucked up, mulched, and dumped in a pile to rot a bit. I’ve also emptied the dishwasher. I think I’m done for the day. Time for some crocheting in front of Netflix. Go me!
Howdy Y’all! Thought I’d check in to let y’all know I’m not out goin’ wild since I am sans adult supervision. JDD and I had N.O.L. together at the good local sushi place. As OYKW and JDD Partner despise the thought of sushi, we don’t get to do this often. JDD Partner declined to come along even though there’s regular Japanese comestibles there as well. His loss. Anywho, I filled up on sushi and had some sake. Da bear has a happy tummy.

Gonna be another day I guess, although I’m in a better mood today than yesterday.
I think it’s chilly out, haven’t opened the door and stuck my head out yet. I woke up too early, stayed up a bit, the went back to bed. I slept until 12:30 so half the day has been wasted already. Irk has been offering nice bonuses almost everyday this week. Since I’m not about to turn down a bonus, I’ve been irking more than usual. They are asking us to irk more hours this weekend as well.
Sah-son has a bunch of writing assignments due this weekend, four of them, so I’ll be doing a lot of proofreading. He took his music mid term this morning, his professor lied. She said it was mostly true/false and multiple choice. Hah! All the questions had to be answered in paragraphs, and the final one with a complete essay. Had him a bit spazzed out at first. I got to hear Handel’s* Water Music * a dozen times - at least - as that was what the essay was on. Much better listening than El Grillo - I still have that one stuck in my head, it’s a persistent little ear worm. Even The Llama Song hasn’t been able to dislodge it.
His fez just came in the mail.
Glad the surgery went well Sunny. Once I was the last surgery scheduled for the day. Long day, especially since the woman before me had complications so my surgery was delayed several hours. I was starving by the time they knocked me out and as soon as I got to the recovery room my first request was food. I asked them why if people who are scheduled at 6am can eat until midnight, why can’t those of us scheduled for 2pm eat until 8am. Nope, doesn’t work that way.

Took a nap; was woken up by ekemom at 2 o’clock. Got the last load of laundry in the washing machine now. Played some more football; mah Flashes trounced Iowa. 10-0 now in the 2023 season.
Dinner is chicken and dumplings. We think.
Got invited by my landlord’s son to his birthday party tomorrow, which is 40 minutes away at maximum warp. But that’s okay, 'cuz they’ve got karaoke.
I talked with OYKW a little while ago. Chore day went well and everything is done so ‘tis now chillax time in the wilds of West Alabammy. He shall deheathenate with his mom tomorrow and then take her to N.O.L. Then he plans to head back durin’ the afternoon and should get back just after dark tomorrow evenin’. He has Moanday off so he can chillax a day at home. Moanday is also men’s night over to the church house which he enjoys as much as I do.

And now I’m sitting in bed, roleplaying, drinking ginger ale. ekemom has settled in for a nap. (We live in a recreational vehicle, and there’s not a whole lot of space to move around in, so we share a bed.)
**FCD **should be getting to his folks’ place any time now - he made really good time. I watched 3 episodes of Doc Martin and crocheted. Higgs has been fed and I’ve got some pasta on timer for my supper.

I yanked a hunk o’ pork outta da freezer a little while ago. Ima make a welcome dindin for OYKW tomorrow. I’m thinkin’ poke roast, sweet N.O.T., collard greens (I yanked a bag of fresh frozen ones out as well), and cornbread will do. I may even bake a cake tomorrow. I shall deheathenate with the Luteruns at 9:00 A.M. so I got a whole buncha time tomorrow to figure all this out plus have a nap. Go Me!

Left the house at 0715 this morning to do an 0800 soccer game (temperature 41F) and 10 hours, four games, one meal and lots of run/walk later, I am home. Uniforms are in the wash since I have two more games to do tomorrow, but I’ll worry about that after a good night’s sleep this evening.

I’m hungry. I need to eat something good. I had soft pretzel bites stuffed with cheddar cheese early this morning, a bagel with cream cheese for lunch, and a pack of crackers for dinner. I went grocery shopping yesterday, everything is full of food, I look at it and nothing appeals to me. Maybe an apple for now.
Well, OK then, I’ll just talk to myself.
I shall retire to the budoir to watch teevee until sleepy time. I won’t be alone though. I shall go to bed with Ben tonight. That’s OK though, cause OYKW is sleepin’ with Ty.
