home from my SSDI assessment appointments. Now I wait for them to review my paperwork. I expect at least two months before I hear from them sigh
Forget stories Swampy, I have PICS!
One of my favorites is from when somebody gave him roller skates along with a helmet, knee and elbow guards. He carried it off to his bedroom and came out fulled decked - in nothing but the skates, helmet, knee, and elbow guards.
Flytrap, now you know why I like boring.
FCM - picking a health plan sux big time. I still haven’t picked one. My choices are go $90/month more or go $100/month less with a huge deductible. It looks nice to save that $1200, but at least $300 will go for Dr visits, and probably another couple hundred in prescriptions.
ekemom did the dishes this morning and I’ll be cooking in about an hour or so. Johnsonville sweet bratwurst and boiled potatoes, or as we call them, “brats 'n pots”. I’ve been roleplaying for several hours in my text-based RP game that I enjoy; I play as a female anthropomorphic fox, or “vulpine”, named Callie, who owns a restaurant.
Back from Kevin’s - my sweetie had his fried chicken and I had steamed shrimps, so we has happy tummies. He’s off the next 2 days and I plan to crash early tonight since I’s tahred. So I’ll crochet a bit, then crash.
MWAH!!
Moments like these make up for all the aggravations. Particularly if you have pics, which can be used strategically later.
{{{Midget}}} Sorry about kitty. Hope he remains comfortable. Try switching to soft food. The main thing is to keep him hydrated. Dry food can be hard on the kidneys.
I am having a blue week. I shall join Butters in the doldrums.
On the plus side, it has been raining, FINALLY. My MIL is leaving, FINALLY. So, there are rays of light in the darkness. I just have to keep on keeping on.
Surgery on Friday (ankle, part deux). Pre-op tomorrow.
Dentist was yesterday. Turns out that everything my last dentist did has to be re-done. That’s why my tooth abscessed and ended up having to be pulled last week. The filling was crap. I’ve got two more that needed to be re-done immediately. So that’s next week.
You know. I’m just going to stop. Crying is bad for computers. TTYL.
Brats 'n pots were a success. We watched Jeopardy; realizing it was the Tournament of Champions, we quickly switched to the DVR’d Monday episode so we can eventually watch all the ToC episodes. Eventually.
Rule of Acquisition #12?
Work was interesting. And at my age I could do with fewer interesting days. They are running us at peak stress levels and its starting to show on some folks who have been here for months. Some aren’t going to make it and I feel bad about that but better when we’re at 85k packages a day and not 200k+ a day.
Howdy Y’all! Home from deheathenization over to the church house. The chili and cornbread were excellent. Plus, some super nummy lemon squares. Today is St. Martin’s Day, a day typically associated with the comin’ of Winter. So the kidlets made lanterns (a St. Martin’s day tradition) and we gathered in the courtyard around a bonfire for the service. A very good time all around.
{{{sunny}}} hope the ankle and dentist stuff are all done and heal soonest.
flipper has anyone pointed you toward the Mumper Recipe Blog? If not, you have been now. Some good recipes over there for snausages plus a whole lot of other good stuff.
ruble 'tis the season to mail packages!
sari always good to have blackmail material on hand.
Snausages will be uncooked whilst being stored in da fridge for a week. Freezing isn’t really an option because I’m away until just a few hours before the smokage commences so said snausages wont have time to thaw out.
I wasn’t real motivated to do my training/workout tonight, but I went anyway. Just as I started my 3rd round (the lights went out, making it impossible to see). I waited for a little bit, but then took it as a sign that I was [del]free[/del] done for the night.
Rosie’s sig around.
Aaaaaaaah!
There is discussion of the Cyphastrea coral on an aquarium Facebook page. I suggested that she was the Wife of Agamemnon, and await confusion.
I worked, I came home. Making Italian panchetta mac n’ cheese.
Now he’s shy and withdrawn. :dubious:
red, sure!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffeineated, and purtified, so no YAWN. 'Tis 62 Amurrkin out and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay foggy with a predicted high of 78 and sunny for the day. After today, high temps will be in the 60s for a few days. Fall weather be weird in south Jawja.
Spidey I’ve kept uncooked snausage in da fridge for five or six days before and they were fine. My .02.
We’re goin’ to brekkie at Pearly’s this mornin’. YUM! Then I get to head south a little later this mornin’. I’m hopin’ the fog goes away before I start out. I hate drivin’ any kind of distance in fog.
OK, I hear rumblin’s from the bedroom which indicate OYKW is now presentable for the public. Pearly’s here we come!
Happy Thursday Y’all!
Happy Thorsday. Woke up kinda early this morning (5); had a handful of mint Oreos. I think I’ll have some apple cider too; that’s one of my favorite things about fall.
Bookmarked the Mumper recipe blog!
{{{Sunny}}} Well, at least a few things are going your way. Hope the ankle and dental things work out well for you.
Celebrated my day off by not eating until 1:30PM, then going to Olive Garden for their never-ending pasta bowl (and refills of salad and breadsticks). Didn’t bother with dinner after that, as you might imagine…
Back to irk this morning. We’ll see what Thorsday brings.
Flipper, “Death Chicken” is especially popular 'round these parts. And if you have any treasured recipes, please share with us.
Meanwhile, blurf.
I had my SSDI evals yesterday. A friend came with me, to keep me company and witness the whole goings on. Then we went shopping. So that was a big day for me. I used a lot of spoons. And today is grey and rainy and yucky. So breakfast will be pancakes, delivered by my favorite deli. I suspect, based on the lack of sleep I had, that I shall be collapsing around 3:00pm
BLURF. Up and at 'em.
Up and caffeinated, closing shift tonight.
: spoons rosie :
Thanks, all.
