[GAME] Answer to Ask

Typically five to ten mph.

Are you more comfortable thinking of kph?

Only when I want to think I’m driving faster than I really am.

Have you ever picked up a hitchhiker?

Never ever ever, and I doubt I ever will. I do like the Stephen Wright joke, in which he asks a hitchhiker, “So… how far did you think you were going?”

When did you last see a standup comic in person?

June 2013, on the Carnival Triumph ( although she was sitting the whole time)

What is your biggest relationship regret?

I have never been in a relationship, but probably how I fixated on my first crush in seventh grade for months after being rejected and having barely spoken to each other - what a waste of time.

Will you take a look at and respond to my thread that hasn’t gotten any replies yet? "Which gender is more likely to...?" Google Search Results - Miscellaneous and Personal Stuff I Must Share - Straight Dope Message Board

Look at, yes. Respond, no.

What’s your favorite curse word?

Shit. Sorry, “Shit.”

Least favorite “Peanuts” character, and why.

Franklin, he seems to offer the least to any story line… unless that makes me racist, then it would be Pig Pen, since he was a one trick pony … he’s dirty, only trait his character has.

What song do you like that you would rather your friends or cow-orkers not know about

Timber by Ke$ha and Pitbull.

What place has given you the creeps so bad you just wanted to get the hell out of there as fast as possible?

The first time a former girlfriend dragged me into Victoria’s Secret. I swear, “PERV” was written across my forehead.

Favorite cartoon show prior to 1970.

The Flintstones.

If you could step from your living room into any TV show – that is, a magical portal into a world in which the show was real life – with no return, what show (if any) do you pick?

Star Trek, it’s a utopian future.

Farthest place from your home you’ve ever been.

Glasgow, Scotland, ~3400 miles from home.

Most embarrassing thing you’ve ever been “caught” doing? (Walked in on having sex, alone or accompanied, wearing underwear not your own, etc)

Peeping Tom.

A group of us punk-ass preteens were doing mischief in the neighborhood when we entered the back yard of a gentleman who lived across the street. We peered into to kitchen window in the hopes of finding a way to break in when we saw said gentleman and a lady friend doing the nasty on the kitchen counter. The window did not have great vantage point and we all struggled to get our turn to see.

In the midst, he heard us, apparently grabbed a robe and flew out the back door. As I was smaller and was still trying to get to the window to see what was happening, all I saw was the lady friend covering herself and him on his way out the door. I heard my cohorts yell to run but stumbled. He caught me halfway to the street. He recognized me and dragged me by the back of my jacket to my house where he informed my parents of what I was doing. All I remember him saying to them was 'Peeping Tom is against the law!"

So, who broke your heart the most?

I’ve never really had my heart broken. I had relationships which ended before I was ready to have that happen, but I wasn’t heartbroken. Hmm… disappointed, more like.

Favorite thing about the year-end holidays?

Although “not much” immediately came to mind, as I thought about it some more, I realized I do enjoy that most work responsibilities are on hold for the week between xmas and New Years. I like the slow, mid-winter pace.

Who’s death (of people you personally knew) bothered you the least?

My maternal grandfather. I was just a little kid, rarely saw him, barely knew him, and had no particular emotional attachment to him.

At what celebrity’s death did you quietly exult?

Lawrence Welk. No more of those friggin’ shows that took up what valuable cartoon watching time I had as a kid.

What is the highest you have been above sea level?

Not counting airplanes:

Clingmans Dome, Tennessee (6644’–observation tower adds 45’)

Missing any digits (hands /feet)? How many? How’d it happen?

No, fully equipped with ten fingers and ten toes, fortunately.

Know someone missing a digit? Share the story?
