The “prize” he will be bringing back to Cersei is Allaria, who killed her daughter. I sincerely doubt Cersei will give any value to Yara beyond she is a part of the enemy but not a subject of personal retribution. I assume she will most likely leave her to a nasty fate at the hands of Uncle Sea-Pirate Guy (I forgot his name).
Yeah, and the blue arrow by your name (which usually links to the quoted post) goes to a 2002 thread about firewalls. Weird. :dubious:
Urine.
(Euron)
Shea and Cruel Dad. They conspired to have him executed and broke his tint half-man heart in the process.
Anger? Jon Snow is probably the only thing keeping Ser Davos from tearing her limb from limb.
The last shot of the show will be Littlefinger and Varys high-fiving about how their 8 year plan to save Westeros went off flawlessly.
Not sure that it would matter so long as he does a good job ruling. As a member of the Night’s Watch and a bastard, technically Jon isn’t allowed to be Lord of Winterfell or King of the North anyway.
I don’t they have “small councils” in the North. Rob never called them either, nor do the Wildlings. It seems like their way is more big open “town hall” style meetings of lords rather than a small group of politicians meeting in secret. Probably why Ned Stark was so bad at it. Still wouldn’t hurt to talk to your sister beforehand.
Hell, Hot Pie GAINED weight while the rest of Westeros is living hand to mouth. As someone else pointed out, he’s extremely lucky that he has a good job at a well travelled inn. The inn is presumably near Kings Landing or Lannister held territory. So there haven’t been any major battles in the region since the Red Wedding and there is at least some semblance of law enforcement protection from the Crown.
It would be a very different story if Hot Pie was working a roadside inn in the Riverlands.
Also not to keep on this sea battle thing, but shouldn’t Varys had at least some warning? I know he’s been away from his “little birds” or whatever, but is he now completely useless as “spymaster” now?
Even weirder, clicking on the arrow by Elendil’s Heir’s name took you to a post from 2002.
The quote was evidently edited so that the last digit of the post number was inadvertently left out. I fixed it so at least the arrow now links to the correct post.
That’s the Inn at the Crossroads. It is on the King’s Road about halfway between Winterfell and King’s Landing, and at a junction with major east-west roads to the Riverlands and the Vale of Arryn.
Quite a few major plot events have occurred there.
-
This is where Arya’s dire wolf attacked Joffrey and Sansa’s dire wolf was killed in retaliation. The Hound got on Arya’s list by killing the butcherboy who was implicated in the attack.
-
Catelyn runs into Tyrion here and takes him captive to stand trial at the Eyrie.
-
The Brotherhood Without Banners stops here after picking up Arya, Gendry, and Hot Pie, and captures the Hound here. Hot Pie gets a job and stays.
-
When Brienne and Podrick stop here, Hot Pie reveals to them that the Brotherhood had Arya and the Hound with them.
I assumed the contrary. That it was a way to close “Hot Pie” storyline. We won’t see him again, but we know that he’s fine now, and won’t die, since, as he said, “he’s a survivor”.
Of course, I could be mistaken, but since the end of the show is coming close, I thought that secondary characters were going to disappear and if they don’t die onscreen, writers would let us know what became of them.
Ah, thanks. He still murdered them both, no matter how endearing and smart he is.
Wow - I’ve been on this board for 17 years, and never noticed that arrow. Apparently fighting ignorance is taking longer…
Next time there’s a “whose got the lowest post per day?” thread, I’m backing you SuperNelson.
And now Hot Pie has opened a bakery selling Dire Wolf breadcalled You Know Nothing Jon Dough.
She did try to rescue Theon that one time, but was repelled by dogs. I thought the portrayal of her love for Theon in her own way was well done in the show.
I thought she wasn’t so much repelled as that Theon just didn’t want to go.
True, she’s brave, and a good captain, and has shown loyalty to Theon. But she still subscribes to the Ironborn code of thievery and pillage. She only reluctantly agreed to give it up when Danaerys insisted.
Theon refused to go, but she might have been able to drag him off against his will if she hadn’t had to deal with the hounds.
We knead to invite him to post here!

Melisandre could open a BBQ place, and Ramsay a sausage shack.
Yeah, it’s the yeast he could do for us.
Here’s hoping he’ll rise to the occasion!
