These buns are kilning me!
And we thought last week’s thread devolving into a line of fictional succession debate was bad. . .
That’s partly because I decide roughly 80% of the posts I start to type are irrelevant, inane, or inarticulate, and delete them without pressing “submit.” Funny thing is my first thought was “how did I ever make 926 posts? What could I possibly have had to say?”
I never thought of it that way - kind of like reducing a sauce or soup.

Grey Worm could sell strap-ons and other sex toys.
Ser Davos wouldn’t tear Melisandre limb from limb; he’d set her on fire. Either that or just strangle her if he literally wanted to feel the life drain out of her. As for Jon; he’s no longer a member of the Night’s Watch since his “watch ended”, and he’s King in the North because the lords in the North basically elected him King (his bastardy is irrelevant).
Agreed. Even last season when she suggested Theon slit his wrists if he was too far gone it was still done out of love, not malice.

So there is something worse than the great potato debate.

Sansa is his path to owning the North. First he has to fan the fires of conflict between her and Jon. I predict it won’t work.
I could totally see Sansa marrying him and then doing away with him in order to protect her cousin and rule the Vale while Jon rules Winterfell until Robin is old enough. By which time Sansa may actually have found someone to whom she wants to be married.
Agreed. You can destroy an Army with air power, but you can’t rule until you have control on the ground. Otherwise all you’ve created is chaos.
Turn the Dothraki into sailors and give them the Iron Islands? LOL! Seriously though, “The Gift” should be good land for them - is it big enough?
Jon needs to learn to open discussion before he makes a pronouncement. Starting out with a declaration sets him up for failure if a good counterpoint is offered. He is the one who is making the mistake.
Ned was working with men he has known for a lifetime, and with whom he fought wars before. (or with their fathers.) He also had an unquestionable right to his place. Jon needs to get that he is still earning his, and explain his reasoning, making others at least feel heard before ordering otherwise.
I’ll be interested to see if the little birds return to Varys after he abandoned them. I could see them doing for Qyburn, OR for Varys. They definitely hold some serious power in the balance. I wonder if they’ll know.
Pretty much you don’t want the Dothraki around on a continuing basis. Right now they have a little bit of loyalty to Danny, and will mostly want to rape and pillage (and extort tribute) from the Little People) as their way of life in the future.
I think Danny should use them in conquering, and against the White Walker army, but once that battle is won she needs rid of them. Hopefully a ton of them will have been killed along the way, and the rest will be homesick for the warm, wide grasslands of Essos. If so, fine: give them, say, every other horse in the entirety of Westeros, pack them back onto ships and wave goodbye.
Sounds good. Except that she’s still the queen of Mereen etc. so the Dothraki would still be living off of her people.
It’s a conundrum, and I’m embarrassed to say I never realized it before. What WILL she do about them?!?
Maybe if she solved the ghost grass problem they’d be able to live in their own lands without the pillaging?
I don’t know. Maybe she should consider massacring them for their many crimes so that the world will be permanently rid of this nuisance? But I assume she won’t since we’ve known since the first season that she has a thing for muscular pillager/murderer/rapists.
Hopefully, the white walkers will take care of them.
What’s that about ghost grass? It doesn’t ring a bell for me.
Had another thought: do we know if they brought the entire Dothraki horder (as in, women and children) or just the fighting men? If the latter, it might make it easier to get them to go home again.
Of course, it will also no doubt up the raping aspect…
How in the world did Danny think she’d be able to keep their behavior under control???
