Re-watched On Demand earlier today. This episode is the best of the series to date in terms of pure dialog. So many great scenes from Jon-Davos-Missandei-Tyrion on the the beach, to walking up the ramparts with the dragon fly-by, to the throne room stand-off, Varys & Melisandre, Tyrion complaining about Jon out-brooding him, Jon & Dany finding mutual respect and reaching an accord, Euron grandstanding to the crowd and privately taunting Jaime, Cersei torturing Ellaria and using The Long Farewell, Cersei negotiating with the Iron Bank, Tyrion describing the plan of attack on Casterly Rock, Grey Worm fighting his ass off only to realize they’ve been played, Jaime explaining his strategic retreat, and finally The Queen of Thorns totally owning the scene even as she’s getting killed. A triumph of great acting and writing by a great ensemble of writers and actors.
