So, pretty much what everyone was thinking. In the books it was a door-door, not a floor-door.
But, if little Lord Ibred Basketcase wants to see the plummet and splat he’s either going to have the door in the floor or the little heir is going to have to stand at the edge of the death plummet and hope he doesn’t fall out.
So…anyone know why his named was changed to Robin? Just to avoid any “OMG ANOTHER OF ROBERT’S BASTARDS!” speculation, or…?
Thanks for the quote, 'cause I was pretty sure it was a door, as well. I definitely recall Littlefinger shoving Lysa OUT the door, not down and out a hole.
ETA: I don’t know why it was changed; obviously Robin was his nickname in the book; maybe it WAS to avoid suspicions that it was Robert’s. Or maybe there were just too many Roberts already.
Robert Baratheon and Robb Stark. The Seven know there are already more than enough characters in the series without increasing possible confusion. There are something like four episodes left and we’re nowhere near done introducing people.
When and if Littlefinger nudges wee Robert Arryn out the Moon Door to follow his late unlamented mom, who has the best claim to the Arryn castle and lands? Littlefinger himself, or someone else?
Elendil’s Heir: She told Tommen he should attend the council meetings so he could learn more about governance. She also encouraged him to appear more in public so he could win the love of the smallfolk.
Elendil’s Heir: Harry the Heir is the one slated to inherit the Vale’s lands when Robin bites it. He’s the lord to whom Littlefinger betroths Sansa at the end of Book 4.
Now that Ros is going to the South, what do you think will happen to her ? Will her storyline merge with the “Shae” story in the books or will it be something different? She certainly seems a lot more confident than Shae. I believe she is the only new character in the show so it will be interesting to see what the writers do with her.
OK it appears you are right. I wonder why they invented Ros then. She does give us a few more scenes with Theon but they didn’t seem that essential. I wonder if we will see her again at all.
In the LOTR:TTT extended commentary, Peter Jackson says he’d love to do a spinoff series with Treebeard solving mysteries. While that would be amusing, I’d rather watch a series with Mord and Hodor solving mysteries.
Wow, is it possible that I’m the first one to say how disappointed I was that HBO cut the wolves out of the scene where the wildings accost Bran? In the book, the wolves account for most of the carnage. In the episode last night, they weren’t even around.
I think the link between the wolves and the Starks is one of the best things about the story. I don’t understand the decision to play them down.
Yeah, especially with all the talk about them in the docs and ‘makings of’, etc.
Thanks for bringing that up; I figured I’d just mis-remembered. There were several points during that bit where I was certain the conversation was a setup for a wolf leaping in and ripping someone’s throat out. Then…nothing.
Oh, and Theon.
Which is not a substitute for wolves, damnit.
