Your wish is my command.
Is that… single- and multi-player, or just multiplayer? The Wiki and homepage don’t seem to address the question.

I’m still waiting on my Half-life remake. tap tap tap
Edit: It’s theoretically coming out this year, I’m guessing Nov 19, HL1’s release anniversary (birthday?).
I want to say Chrono Trigger, but I’m hesitant, as I fear that they’d screw it my favorite game somehow. Keep all the characters (especially Magus, the best video game boss ever) as they are. Keep the combat system. Keep the combat 2-D, just pretty it up. The rest can be 3-D, but it doesn’t have to be. Keep the story the same, with all the different possible paths it can take, but change the details (an example of details: which bush you go into to get the free tent, which rock the monster jumps out from, which cave you go into to get to the next area, etc.). And *definitely *keep the music for the battle against Magus.
Did you get the remake for the PS1? They kept the gameplay the same, but they added some new movies, which I thought were great. The title was Final Fantasy Chronicles, and it included FFIV. If you have a PSX or PS2, you need to get this compilation. Really and truly.
And yeah, the music for the battle against Magus is fantastic. I prefer it to One Winged Angel.
Myst
It’s the perfect game for a remake. You wouldn’t hardly need to change anything besides using modern graphics engines and increasing the scale of the world to the current level of sandbox games. You could even use many of the same puzzles and just tweak them in concert with a whole new slate of puzzles.
Crusader No Remorse
Tie Fighter +1
I always want to say FF7 but, I think the temptation to fuck it up a lot would be too great.
I’d agree on FF7, but there are so many spinoffs of FF7 I don’t want to encourage them to make more.
Myst has been remade with fancier graphics twice, first as Myst: Masterpiece Edition and then as realMyst. I don’t think any of the puzzles were changed, but everything got a lot prettier.
Those are still a decade old and the game wasn’t updated or expanded. A truly modern game, not just a remastered original with freshened graphics, would be golden.
The old version seems like it could be a hit on the DS in the mold of Professor Laytons.
It has been ported to the DS, apparently with less-than-stellar results though:
Whatdya know…
Guess as a non-DS owner I shouldn’t be surprised this was new to me, but I suppose I can see the point of the reviewers criticisms regarding the sound and screen size issues. It only convinces me more that a new PC version built to exploit the latest and greatest of photo-realistic 3D environments with surround sound could be great.
X-Wing vs TIE Fighter.
Baldur’s Gate with 3.5e rules. In the Temple of Elemental Evil engine.
How is this different from Half-Life: Source?
I was just thiking about this! I want them to remake Final fantasy 6 (the Kefka one). They fixed up some of the cut scenes and made it shinier but the game itself is the same. I want it revamped! Same story, same characters, just a modern game.
And Chrono Trigger, why not?
Lode Runner (with a make-your-own-level editor, too)
What exactly would you consider to be a revamped game though? I see a lot of people asking for this (usually referring to an RPG) and then saying something like “Just update the graphics” and yet now Anaamika is here saying “the shinier version they just released isn’t revamped enough” So… what would you change? Systems? Graphics? Music? When do we go beyond what Regallag_The_Axe wants from Chrono Trigger (which seems like barely any changes beyond a new coat of paint).
So I guess what I’m saying is: “What game would you want remade?” is a boring question. “What would you change in a remake of your favorite game?” is much more interesting.
Any of the X-Wing and TIE Fighter games.
Also: one of my favorite arcade games from the 80s – Cyberball.
One more vote for Master of Magic, but using the M2:TW engine. Just add the dark realm and the magic tree and you’re all set.
Yeah but I need it on Mac or Wii. I’m not giving Microsoft any more money if I can help it. I’m certainly not buying an xbox.
Thanks, tho. It is good to know that other people liked the game.
Another game that came out for xbox only that I used to love is Turok.
