There are 3 main differences between APA and BCA:
APA- 8 on the break is a win. BCA- rerack or breaker keeps shooting.
APA- slop counts except on the 8 ball. BCA- must call ball and pocket. (NOTE: kisses, caroms, rails need not be called)
The 3rd difference is too esoteric to go into here.
Both rulesets have a concept of ball-in-hand
I’m not as anal as this post implies. I don’t care what rules we play by or even if we make up our own. Since bar rules can vary by bar, how much one has had to drink or how much money one is losing, I don’t generally play them. This is why I’m posting links to these rules.

This is a fun 3 player game. Pea pool (aka Kelly pool) can also be played with 2-15 players. Never played it but it looks like fun.
Now I’m probably gonna find the pool room empty cause none of you guys want to play with a pool nerd. shutting up now.

I know how to play 8ball, 9ball and cut-throat. I don’t mind playing with a pool nerd as long as you don’t mind playing with a shitty pool player.

Well, maybe we ought to consider a plan B, just in case. In other words if not D&B, then where? I don’t want mb laying out his own cash (which is non-refundable) if we’re not going to have the people to cover it.
I’m still very much looking forward to seeing y’all next weekend, but we have to be realistic about the costs involved. Thanks to those of you have either confirmed or cancelled. That’s been a big help.

Checking past posts, I see Labdad went to the beach on 8-9. If they stayed a week, then it’s possible he hasn’t been checking the thread. He was coming by himself, and I forwarded your e-mail to him, mb. The same for Archergal: She went out of town on the 9th, so that may be why we haven’t heard back from her and her SO. I’m still optimistic. Zenster has another thing he’s helping to organize and sends his regrets.
I’m gonna put my guitar on my backseat just in case.
