I’m still a definite, don’t worry, but the 30 bucks per is a bit steep for me. If D&B works out, great, I’ll be there with bells on and sufficient cash; but I would love it if all y’all decided on Manuel’s or the Park Tavern or someplace like that. Both of those are in my neighborhood. I think most of y’all are OTP, so D&B is more convenient, but if that *doesn’t * work out, I’d be thrilled to meet at Manuel’s. But you guys have taken on the organization of all this, so it’s your call. Just wanted to let you know.

smv, after conferring with mouthbreather via e-mail, it looks like even if we don’tget enough attendees to reserve the room, we would still be able to go to D&B’s and just wait for a table and be able to play games and such.
My only concern was that I didn’t want mb shelling out his hard-earned bucks for a non-refundable deposit and us not getting the amount of folks needed. He is taking a lot of this on faith and I would not want to see him disappointed. He’s already done more of the 'leg-work" than I have, and he’s had more experience than me in organizing these things. All things considered, all I did was have the idea and proposed some dates.
I’m glad you’ll be with us.
We should know something by tomorrow evening on the room, one way or the other.

I don’t care what we do (D&B rental/D&B wing it/soemwhere else) but if we are going to rent that space I need to do so by COB today. What do y’all want to do?

Well, some more discussion via email between Quasi and I and we’ve decided to shitcan the rental idea. After gratuity, tip, and everything else we were looking at 40-45 per head
We will still meet at D&Bs, and we can see what it will take to get a table from there. Worse comes to worst, we can get two tables and split up for dinner and then meet back for games and drinks.
Right. Meeting time is the same: 7pm and don’t forget to bring your didital cameras, 'cause I don’t own one.
To add to what mb has already said, after many back and forth e-mails and phone calls, we decided it wouldn’t be fair to y’all to hit you with a bill like that without some prior notification, and since we only know each other here, and since time was a factor, we decided to do it this way.
The only other way to have done this would have been to request a deposit from everyone, but how were we gonna do that?
The whole thing was just too cost-prohibitive the way it finally added up, and maybe now some of those of you who couldn’t come because money was a factor, can still make it.
Thanks to mouthbreather for his efforts and willingness to shell out the bucks for the deposit on the room, but we both agree this is the best way to go.

I can’t make it. I would tell you my excuse but “I have to wash my hair” sounds better than the real one. I’m dissapointed and would have loved to been there, but I’m sure you’ll somehow carry on.
