Hey all,
Sorry we missed you on the way out. We stopped up at the bar and gooti ran into a friend she hadn’t seen in 5+ years. We made a pass through the gameroom but besides GMR and Morelin everyone was gone.
I didn’t get to talk to to SMV, Quasi, Daine, Arch, Labdad, ArcherSO nearly as much as I wanted to, because of the limitations of seperate tables for dinner…
Anyway, nice meeting you all. My head is hurting at the moment – aspirin and back to bed for me.

Hi gang! What fun! I’m safely ensconced back inside the Perimeter now, and none the worse for venturing out to Gwinnett. It was great seeing all of y’all, and special thanks to Archergal for bringing a camera and getting the photos posted so quickly.

I would just like to *nitpick. This is the 6th Atlanta fest, at least.
There was one around New Years '99.
One in June 2000.
One in October 2000.
One a year or two ago (featuring Arden Ranger and erstwhile mod manny).
One about two years ago with (featuring Fiver, mouthbreathr, and spoke-).
Also, I don’t know what quorum you need to call it a fest, but mouthbreather met UncleBeer in Atlanta.
And there could be others that I’m not remembering. I can say that this one was by far the most successful.
*Which means “being jealous that I was not able to attend.”
Earl, wish you could’ve been there too, dude. If we do a little something for the holidays, you and any other dopers who wanna make the drive have a standing invitation to join us.
Manuel’s Tavern was mentioned last night (I think that was one of your e-mailed suggestions), but wherever we have it, I hope the same people can attend who were there last night.
We were all comfortable with each other from the get-go, and that went a long way toward making it the success it was.

Okay. With Y’all’s permission, let’s say goodbye to this thread and look forward to the new one about the new fest (At the holidays, hopefully!) We had 2331 views with 297 replies, and 10 wonderful people who enjoyed three+ hours of great cameraderie together.
