50th Anniversary of your parents qualifies as a justifiable excuse, IMHO, and I think it’s wonderful that you’ll be there with them, **Lyll’/b].

Is there some kind of minimum post requirement before one attends these? If not, then I think I’m good for either weekend date listed (it is tough to tell with my wacky spontaneous wife and life, but I can certainly plan for it).
I have not met anyone yet in real life yet, though I have run into GMRyujin online (he just doesn’t know it yet).
As far as locations, I will recommend Star Time in Roswell. A) it is near 400, B) it has beer, C) it has entertainment like Dave & Busters, but less busy (though I’d be up for a D&Bs as well) and D) it doesn’t involve driving inside the city proper for which I’m a wimp.
There is no post requirement for attendance. I don’t think there’s even a pulse requirement! All ya gotta do is say you’ll be there, then be there! How easy is that?

I’m in Atlanta for college, but not getting down there till August 24th or 25th. If you guys move it back at all (and keep it in Atlanta, due to my lack of a car) I’m in. Otherwise, hopefully I’ll catch you all some other time…

AFAIK both those weekends are open for us so depending on where you’re talking about and when, gooti and I are definate probables. She can sing and play just about any insturment under the sun (ok, a bit of exagerration), but all I can do is drink sauce and play with myself.

Also, I did a search on Star Time in Roswell, but the only thing that comes up is a movie theater with that name. Is it fairly new?
What does everyone think of Dave and Buster’s as a venue for our Dopefest? Got any other/better suggestions? I plan to overnight in a hotel in the vicinity of wherever we meet, so those of us who want to make it a bit longer party, we can do that in my room.
