Had a good Thanksgiving dinner at church, sitting with ekemom, eke-sorta-gf, eke-sorta-gf’s daughter (who didn’t eat a damn thing, and played with her sweet tea all night, as she always does), and our pastor and his wife.
We had an auction of 16 items to benefit our missionary in Jordan.
Practiced clarinets and piano today. My piano’s named Cecilia, after St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music, whose day is today. I’m not religious, I just like that bit of trivia.
Managed to give the lawn it’s last (I hope) cutting this AM, we’re supposed to get below freezing tonight and that should put it to sleep until March.
Lunch was at the Sunny Street Cafe, a little place for Breakfast and Lunch and I had their BLT with chips and a side salad, so all was well with the world. Spent the afternoon either watching tackleball or napping, so a successful Sunday PM of doing nothing was added to the rolls.
Two days of work this week then drive up to see my brother in Saint Louiee for T-Day.
Midget, I don’t have a piano to name, iffn I did, I might call it Cecilia. OTOH, iffn I has some bologna I’m pretty sure it’s first name would be O - S - C - A - R.
Dinner was beef & snow pea stir fry in a spicy peanut sauce.
Now there’s clean-up & getting everything ready for tomorrow, which means a bunch of reading & filling out some forms but I just wanna go to bed, I’s tarhed.
Landlady knocked on the door letting us know that it’s supposed to get below freezing tonight and the next few nights, so it’s a good idea to keep our faucets trickling. Which was done, thanks for the heads-up. Space heater thus far is keeping us, if not toasty, at least warm enough.
It may have been Cousin Chris; he lives around Bragg somewhere but he’s been thrown out of so many bars his circle of influence has widened. Mothers side of the family.
