We’re going to be going on from the party to a friend’s place in WV for the rest of the long weekend, so we’ll definitely have the Idiots and will probably have to leave at a reasonable hour so we don’t get lost in the wilds of WV trying to find their place. :eek: But knowing Papa Tigs, he’ll probably throw something in the crockpot, so be prepared for delicious!

Not if you take that route. 30 is SLOW and twisty and when it’s not twisty you are slowing down to go through every little town 3 house town along the way.
Your best bet (IMHO) is to take 76 to 70 (towards Baltimore) then cut up 15 N at Fredrick to get to Gettysburg.
ETA: 3 1/2 hours is probably about right as long as you don’t follow mapquest’s crappy directions.

Or stay on 76 all the way to the US 15 exit just southwest of Harrisburg, then take that south; a llttle less time on US 15, I think (though you’ll hit 3-4 traffic lights). Not sure whether that’s shorter or longer than doing 76 to 70.
I concur though, do NOT take US 30 the whole way. It may be scenic but…
