I was thinking when she was watching tv with Isaac that she was getting turned on and was gonna make a pass at him and he would have to explain homosexuality to her. That, or she’d become addicted to sexy tv. I like the idea of there being “others” in the dirt, though I’m not sure how they’ll explain it.
Well, to be fair - being a ghost kinda screws the whole science/natural law thing.
Or maybe he was staring at a branch.
There’s a bike path near my house that I ride fairly often. Just off the path is an oak tree; one of those where the trunk goes up about 20 feet, and then divides in two. Around fifteen years ago, it split and one half of it fell down. What remained seemed quite lopsided, and I expected it to fall not long after. I even sent an e-mail to the town arborist.
It’s still standing, and I still check every time I ride by.
I enjoyed last night’s ep(4) more than the previous three of this new season. Love seeing Jay getting a larger part, Isaac and his hair was very funny, and it’s good to see Sam’s character back to being goofy in a funny way. I’m still not impressed by the dialogue / characterization of the livings, though the ghosts’ are always amusing.
Wait, who was Nancy telling at the very end about Pete’s supposed fake hair? I don’t remember meeting that ghost.
That’s Mr. Farnsby’s mother. I like when her character is included. Her scenes are short but she adds a little pop of humor. Same with baby Bjorn.
Part of me feels like this season has been sub-par, but actually, I think that’s because I keep waiting for the major Jay spoiler to drop and so it’s basically all I watch for every episode.
I kept waiting for his ribbon to snap back onto his hair, the way Pete’s arrow does whenever he takes it out.
Did I miss something or did they completely change Trevor’s ghost power without saying anything? He used to be able to push a button or a typewriter key only with great difficulty and very, very slowly. Now he’s able to type fast enough to be a remote stock trader and chat with his colleagues on Slack?
Seems like a pretty egregious deviation from the ghost rules they’ve established.
It’s not clear that his typing speed improved. And he may not be trading but instead just emailing to co-workers ideas on how and what to trade.
Maybe, but I thought the implication was he was communicating enough with those co-workers that it was a lot more than what he could type in a reasonable time. They knew his personality, his old timey references, etc., so it was more than just one or two messages he painstakingly typed out over the course of several days.
I won’t lose sleep over it, but I found it distracting to think about during the episode. Good episode overall.
Meanwhile, Pete seems to have addressed the issue that caused him to slowly disappear when away from the estate, as he was returning from Budapest and was planning another trip soon.
I thought it was simply about ‘how much time he was away’ - so lots of little trips are ok. How long was he away on that first trip?
I don’t remember, but yes, presumably he’s making short trips. And that does sound more interesting than the endless tedium Hetty mentioned.
Trevor types at the speed of plot. That being they were expecting someone older than Jay so maybe the slow response times lended credence to that?
I am glad they got rid of Patience.
At least to start.
If Trevor is using an iPad and has word suggestions enabled, he doesn’t have to type out whole words. Just the first letter(s) and then tap on the correct suggested word. That is a headcanon I can live with.
I can also believe that Trevor might have an easier time manipulating a device with a touch screen rather than a physical keyboard. A keyboard requires the key to actually move at least a few millimeters before it will register a key press. An iPad screen just requires a fairly light tap.
Or he could be dictating to Alberta who is herself dictating to the device. It was a plot point in an earlier episode that Alexa could hear her.
