They don’t have to write anybody off; just don’t have them in any scenes like the headless biker. Eventually, they just get Chuck Cunninghammed.
But in that case to prevent audience backlash, the writers would have to make the sucking off satisfying.
(Yeesh! Sorry about that.)
Anyway, Elmer_J.Fudd’s Chuck Cunningham observation makes sense, but then again a lot of people were unhappy with the show during those weeks we believed Flower to be gone for good.
(It would be interesting to know which characters are most and least popular with audiences, though no doubt it varies with the demographic traits of said audiences…)
nitpick - they were not in the well, they were in some form of pit/big hole - apparently for a LONG time before they started trying to go thru the ground to the basement.
Flower told of meeting Patience in the well - patience followed Flower’s screams - and Patience told Flower that she (Patience) was seeking vengeance against Isaac.
That’s right. They were closer to the house, I think.
They said a year, iirc.
I hope they make Patience a proper “scary ghost” that all the other ghosts live in terror of. The regular ghosts need an existential threat to give their “lives” some meaning.
BTW, when Pete was sitting at that bar talking to the Loni Anderson lookalike, he said something about that he was there to be with his family. That didn’t seem to be explained in the show.
The episode before - his daughter’s family was vacationing in St. Lucia.
Thanks; I forgot that bit.
That’s a good idea and seems possible considering the revenge aspect and the way she snatched Isaac. Obviously she needs to be funny; I can picture a stern 17th century puritan having a real problem with Flower, for instance.
Flower didn’t seem to have a problem with Patience, or to be very scared of her, since they had a conversation while Flower was trapped in the well.
Flower wasn’t very scared of a wild bear.
Drugs were involved…
For whatever it’s worth, on the British version they have a ghost that scares the hell out of the other ghosts – Plague Girl, a lass of about 12. She is terrifying, and her ghost power is making some otherworldly hum (like Alberta but ten times more terrifying). She’s only been in a couple of episodes, but she brings it every time. They definitely need a scary ghost on this show.
I could see the Puritan ghost having problem with the Christmas celebration.
It’s Flower, drugs are still involved. Still, if one has enough patience Flower is a useful source of intell on Woodstone.
She’s loosened up, but Hetty was quite judgemental.
Hetty was quite the drug user herself.
Yeah the whole Flower got sucked off was a bit of a cheat.
