In the last week I’ve booked my tickets for:

Tommy Stinson on this wednesday, at the Electric Ballroom, Camden
Paul Westerburg, at the Scala in mid-October, playing in the UK for the first time since 93.
Shellac in November, also at the Scala
And finally, I managed to gets me Nick Cave tickets for the 12th of November, after missing out the last two times he’s played here.

Anyone else off to see anybody good soon? I’m well looking forward to these.

Wilco, tonight. Heard Tweedy’s been in and out of psych wards lately - better catch them while I can.

I caught Westerberg on his Granpa Daddy (Sp?) tour. Most excellent show. All by himself, and called a bunch of the audience up on stage with him to sing the older PW songs and Mats hits. Well, not hits, but you know what I mean.

I think you mean the Come Feel Me Tremble tour (2002). Excellent show. He’s taking part in a benefit for Karl Mueller of Soul Asylum in Minneapolis on 10/23 but I have tix for Old 97’s in Madison that night (the only gig on my agenda) so won’t be making the trip up there.
