Girl Scout Cookies - Thin Mints

You are referring to the cookies, right?

How can you not like thin mints??!! YUMMY!

What to do if you have no Thin Mint Cookies:

I stumbled across this Saturday. It seems that Mauvaise has gotten me hooked on Altoids. So I just finished a peppermint Altoid, when I spy the Dove Dark Chocolate on the kitchen counter. I eat a piece, and BAM! I’m thinking Thin Mints! Sure, it doesn’t have that cookie crunch, but it’s an adequate substitute if no true Thin Mints are available.
[sup]well, it worked for me![/sup]

HEY!!! What do you mean I’ve gotten you hooked?! I never told you to go out and buy that first tin. You make it sound as though I cornered you on the school yard: “Hey, kid, you wanna try something cool? First one’s free.” Feh. I am not an Altoids pusher.

As for the OP: Oh God! I love Thin Mints. I ordered ten boxes this year in the hopes that I can make them last until next season. Mmmmm, frozen Thin Mints.

The mints or the Girl Scouts?

Oh, I love Thin mints. Child hood memories of my mom buying a whole bunch from me when I was a girl scout. Although, I must admit that they are no longer my favorite. That title now goes to those Caramel/Coconut/Chocolate ones. What are those called?? Those are SSSOOO good. Mmmmm…

I came here because of my passion for GSCs, but I cant post anything serious because you people make me laugh.

Whammo and essvee I just watched that gut wrenching scene. So moving. So powerful. snicker

fierra lol! Stop that funniness. I just had erp lunch.

[hijack] although no one ever accused charlton heston of underacting, he has never chewed the scenery so voraciously as he does in that scene. its awe-inspiring. [/hijack] back to the regularly scheduled programming…

looks slightly confused at first before she realizes they are talking about the States Guide cookies Here in Canada we only have 2 types of Girl Guide Cookies… well 3 types but in two boxes. There are the chocolate mint ones which we only sell around Christmas. (I don’t like them much and it seems like they are harder to sell then the regular cookies.) Then there are the chocolate and vanilla ones which we sell in the spring… those I love to eat… I could sit around peeling them apart and eating the insides then the crunchy outsides for ages.

I did learn here that the cost of the cookies are going up too and that Mr Christie (who makes our cookies) has been bought out. So I hope they don’t mess with the recipe.

…thin mints…

has anyone had Mint Cookies and Cream ice cream? it’s supah! used to buy it half gallon at a time but now I can only find it in the $5 pints from B&J. (talk about a couple of sell outs…but that’s another post) Why they stop making it? It’s nature’s perfect taste combination!
fifth useless post and counting

At some point, one ice cream company made Thin Mint ice cream. It was chocolate ice cream with pieces of thin mint cookies in it. That was really good, but I think they only made it for a limited time.

Call me a heretical philistine, but the Thin Mints are overrated - the chocolate seems greasy or soapy to me.

The shortbreads and the peanut butter cookies are the best (especially finding the PBs that were put together with the cookie part upside down).

Cookies just out of the freezer, a cold glass of milk, and an old movie on AMC.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Mini-nirvana.
