Keira Knightley has an upcoming movie, The Jacket. As part of the publicity campaign she is conducting numerous interviews and one thing she has said repeatedly is that this movie will feature her first nude scene. While I’m all in favor of some Keira Knightley nudity and agree it’s a strong selling point for the movie, but we’re here seeking truth.

Knightley’s done nude scenes. She was nude in The Hole and nude again in Dr Zhivago. Anyone interested in spending ten minutes on Google will be able to confirm these facts. So why on Earth is Knightley pretending she’s never shown her stuff on camera before? Did the invention of the VCR, the DVD player, and the Internet somehow escape her notice? Anyone interested in seeing the Knightley nipples knows the truth and anyone who didn’t care before still won’t care now.

I think there’s a distinction made between “nudity” and “going topless” but then again I have a feeling she is still only topless in The Jacket so who knows what she’s on about really?

I’m at work and therefor can’t look at stills from these other movies, but is it possible she had a body double do the nude scenes in the other movies, and The Jacket will be the first movie where it really is her?

The Hole was released in 2001, possibly filmed before that. Zhivago was released in 2002. Keira Knightley turned 18 on March 26, 2003. So both would probably be consider child porn in the USA if she were actually nude in them.
