Howdy Y’all! We had quality cee-mint pond, followed by nappage, followed by goin’ to chow. I mixed my places to eat up. Today we went to the good seafood place. Tomorrow we go to Sonny’s for N.O,L. after deheathenization. Anywho, we both had catfish filets and shrimpies so tummies are happy and well fed. Chillage now ensues.

Hello, my beloved Mumpers. I had a good workout at the gym: 1100 calories burned. Then I went to the liquor store because I’m almost out of vodka, and tomorrow is Sunday, which means martini day. Truth be told, the daily cocktail hour in Chicago/Michigan was so pleasant. I had part of a martini tonight. Such sin!
I posted photos of trees in Chicagoland with blue and gold bands on them (to support Ukraine) on the Book of Faces, and two Chicago friends are now bummed that I didn’t let them know I was in town. In truth, I didn’t want to leave the sister with health issues, but maybe next year, I’ll stay a bit longer.
A dear old friend of mine called today, and it was so good to catch up. Every time I talk with someone with a horrible mom, it makes me even more grateful that I lucked out in the parent department.
Holy frick, it was hot today. I hate the heat and don’t know how early settlers in Louisiana and Florida survived.

nellie, Nelson goes by the rhythm of the day usually. He knows that the first day I get up after 0stupid o’clock, we do certain things, the next day, he gets his egg and so on.
Mostly ready to go. We’ll pack our toiletries and the cooler in the morning, load it all in the car, and go. Alarm set for 5, hoping to be gone before 6. I’ll try to post our progress down I95 so you don’t fret.

Evening all. I took a day of sloth, did almost nothing constructive for most of the day, did do a little cleaning around the kitchen area but even that was after 8pm. Swampy would be pleased at my sloth ability.

My goodness woman, I do 800-900 calories on the stationary bikes and have my shirt soaked and sweat pouring off me; you must be in super shape.

Buddy has a new owie on the back of his neck. I’d noticed a warmish lump petting him earlier, got home to find it was now draining ick. He’s had peroxide and Neosporin applied, which works well for these things. He’s actually a pretty cooperative patient. I think he understands that what I’m doing will help him get better faster.
I have GOT to figure out getting him to accept a much more indoor lifestyle. He insists at this point on going out for several hours each night, which I don’t like because of the war wounds. Problem is that he howls until he’s let out, and the humans do need sleep.

Yesterday we went to the hardware store and wandered around. Picked up a clothes drying rack, to supplement the one we have, plastic hangars (certain ones that we’ve been looking for) and door stoppers, which have already been put in place.

Today I’ll try to reserve a rental car. Yesterday the site didn’t want to cooperate, which is rather odd. And I have to inform some people about the details of our vacation, so that they know when we’ll actually be where.
Otherwise, today is relaxing, and tonight is fireworks, as tomorrow is the Swiss national holiday. Hopefully there won’t be too many more forest fires.

The big item on today’s agenda is deheathenization followed by N.O.L. at Sonny’s. The good thing about a ten a.m. service is that we will beat the crowd to Sonny’s. The rest of the day shall be spent in high sloth and uselessness.
