Morning all. No rain today but a 25-40% chance of showers on Firday and Sattiday, so I may mow the lawn this afternoon/evening (hey, it’s only getting to 91F today…). Also have soccer, so should be a fairly busy day. Garbage is out and ready for pickup.
Nava, couldn’t do what you do; I liked having a steady job. Hope all works out as you wish.
swampy, windows don’t take long to do, had my whole house (11 windows) done in a day.
Butters, this is your **Mooooom **speaking - do NOT go to work tomorrow! Stay home and recuperate! They can get along without you and they don’t need your germies!!!
Is there such a thing as good figgy pudding?
Actually I don’t know, never having had figgy pudding, but it sounds ick.
Made taco salad again last night. Twas good except someone has apparently absconded with my salsa. :dubious: Wifey packed a big cooler full of stuffs to take with, so I suspect it went in there. I need to take last night’s movie back to the Box of Red, so I’ll just get some more.
It rained last night and cooled done a bit. I may actually wear long pants today.
Enjoy your time with your dad, Red.
Rest up and take care Butter, Whatever it is it can wait. Except ice cream. Ice cream can’t wait.
Howdy Y’all! I have brand new windows! Well, except for three windows. Didn’t replace the ones in the livin’ room and study cause they’re protected by the awnin’ and screen on the back porch. Maybe I should have done those as well, but I didn’t. Window folks were late gettin’ here this mornin’ but when they got started they got it done fast. Now I get to clean windows. Rah.
bumba, I’m thinking that figgy pudding may be the English equivalent of fruitcake. Could be good or bad, depending upon the eater’s taste and the ingredients.
Nice house sunny!
I got a load of laundry and the last project finished this morning, delivered the project and the kid bag to Nashville this afternoon, got the green beans and bacon to take with me, filled up the gas tank and got some cash from the ATM before coming home. I picked up some chicken tenders when I popped into the market, so that and the last of the salad vegetation was supper.
While on the northeast side of Nashville, I popped into what used to be a nice little produce market when I lived in that part of town. Back in the late nineties/early 2000s, 3/4 of the store was fresh produce, they had some bulk bins and a few general grocery items. Now, it’s a rundown store with maybe 1/4 fresh produce, 1/4 saint candles, sombreros, piñatas, etc and a bunch of general groceries. It has the same owners, but they changed to meet the changing neighborhood. I wound up at Kroger for the green beans.
