I got a post notification from Google+ from a friend. Tried to follow the link to the actual post, got a 404 error.
So apparently no one’s missing much yet.

So far the main thing I don’t like about Google+ is how few people show up on my stream, because I only have like 6 people in my circles. I hope they open it up to wider testing soon.
6 more than I have. I think I lasted longer on Google Wave!
I wonder how Google is qualifying it’s invite process. Obviously they want active users, so anyone with a very active Facebook/MySpace following would be a better candidate.
I also understand Google+ is just a test name. People who went around snapping up domain names will be outta luck when Google changes the name at the official roll out
So far I haven’t seen anything like gmail where it offers you specific invites to share, but you can add email addresses or contacts to a specific circle and then share something to that circle on your stream and then the recipients will or may be able to sign in.
Also, you can setup a short url here- http://gplus.to/ -to let people find you. Caveat - gplus.to is not affiliated with Google, but I’ve seen no evidence of it being less than legit and it’s being heavily used.

I’m late to the party but would love an invite.
My work-around invite from a previous poster finally allowed me to sign up today. Figuring out how to change from Swedish to English took a few minutes!
Is there a limit to the number of invites you can send? If not, PM me your email address for those still looking for an invite. It might take a day to show up, mine did, but I will send out as many as I can.

Hm, nevermind me. Officially open to the public doesn’t seem to actually mean we can just go and sign up. Unless I’m doing something wrong, very high possibility.

Yeah, same for me: still need an invite. They advertised on Twitter that it was open to all. Not quite yet, apparently.
They said they wanted to double the testers they have now but it still seems very restricted.
I invited two from here and atleast one got an account now. PM me and I will share a G+ post with you which will get you a better chance of activating your google account for G+.
