That was me. It took about 24hrs for the email to come to me and then another 2-3 days for Google to let me register.

I’ve tried to add a couple of SD people to my circles but it’s just showing “email only” function, so it’s probably still in testing phase. I’ll keep people posted.
Yeah, what happens when you do that is that the person gets an email inviting them to check out Google+, but the invite may or may not actually work depending on whether Google+ has the gates open at that time. When/if the person actually does sign on to Google+, they will show up as a regular member of that circle.
And I’m the second person that Juggler invited, by the way. It was just as USCDiver said - the invite took a day or so to show up, and then another 3 days before it worked.
I invited a handful of friends last night but so far it doesn’t look like any of them have made it in yet. Sigh.

I understand why they’d want to roll this out slowly, but a social networking site is nothing if there aren’t more people on it.
It’s a fairly clever move, though. They did a good job getting the hype out, so now they’re employing the “I want it but can’t have it so I need it” marketing strategy. Hell, I’ve avoided MySpace and Facebook like the plague ever since their inception, but even I’m finding myself intrigued enough to check out Google+ when invites become less restricted.
I’d love an invite too if anyone’s got any.
Juggler sent me an invite this morning. I didn’t have a chance to try until I got home from work, but I’m in. While I don’t have invites per se, I was able to get my husband in by adding him to a circle and sending a message. If anyone wants to try this, I’ll be happy to. Send me a PM.

People do seem to be trickling in. I’ve sent out probably 15-20 invitations since yesterday and it looks like about a third of them have made it onto the site already.

i’m exploring the thing too and i can’t even find a simple way to thank ladyfoxfyre directly without 4 or 5 clicks. i guess it’s intentionally done that way so you broadcast instead?

shijinn, did you just get the invite tonight? I got one from ladyfoxfyre too, but it hasn’t offered me a way into the actual platform. I just get the intro teaser screen.

yah, i tried it once before and i got the intro screen too, then i guess it had since freed up.
I got an invite but it says, “Already invited? We’ve temporarily exceeded our capacity. Please try again soon.” So does that mean I have to keep checking back to sign up or I need to keep getting new invites until one takes?
No, just keep checking back. I just kept clicking the link from the same invite, and then eventually it let me in.
They are open now! I’ll look through and see who still needs an invite.
