Well, now I know that there is some artist/group named Minor7Flat5, complete with the registered domain name.
Not that this is odd, since my moniker is a musical term (a flavor of jazz chord).
But that’s it. Tons of hits regarding that artist’s music and nothing else.
Umpteen million references to the famous Muppets skit and the song that goes along with it. Never did find anything that actually ties back into me… mostly because I got tired of clicking over to the next page.
I’d imagine that anyone else looking for me would be even less patient when sifting through results, so I guess I’m safe from the Googlers of the world. Freedom!
Someone here took a recipe I posted and credited me on their recipe blog and on page 2 of google it links directly to my Doper Confessions thread. And on page three it links to the SDMB. Wow, that is a lot more stuff than I thought there would be out there!
Well, with no quotes, the first hit is my Livejournal and then a bunch of random stuff, including Blake’s “The Tyger.” With quotes the first hit is my LJ and then the board.
For my normal username (Silvercat) my livejournal is almost the last hit on the first page.
A couple of links to posts on the Fathom board, where I use the same name. There are a few people who use Lurkmeister, lurkmeister, and Lurk Meister, but the only LurkMeisters who aren’t me are someone on an Ambrosia software web board, and someone on an msdn board.
Wow, mine comes up a lot more me than it used to… DailyKos, the Mumpers Recipe Blog, GoodReads, MyBarackObama, CHUD forums, Digg–then again, there are some people out there with the same username who’re all over e-Bay, Slashdot and a shitload of gamer forums, not to mention several MySpace pages… Nothing directly from here, although I used to get a fair number of hits from BoardReader, mostly MMP posts.
My user name is a character in a couple of movies (the classic original and a mediocre remake) and every single listing in 17 pages of Google listings is about those movies or the actors who played the part (Elspeth Dudgeon and Robert Morley).
My first few are all from a single Ubuntu forums post on which I used the same username.
4th link though is from someone who archived the famous “If LOTR had been written by someone else” thread…I’d forgotten what a magnificent collective Doper work that was and am glad to see it mirrored for posterity
I have to add “Straight Dope” to my name to get any relevant hits, and the only one in the first 25 or so is my contribution to a Staff Report. Otherwise it’s 30 pages of Greek gods, consulting firms and artwork through the years.
Hadn’t thought to add Straight Dope. That turned up four hits from three board-watching sites. Nothing from the SD directly.
Before adding Straight Dope, all I found out was that there were other Yllarias out there. Admittedly, a few of them were me. I tend to use the name other places. Sadly, there was nothing really interesting.
