Got A Beer Complaint? Tell Me All About It! The MMP

Its ok, I’m over it now!

[del]{{{zelie}}}[/del] Nevermind, then.

Is it home time yet? It’s 92F, which is excessive for the end of August. My house is going to be broiling. I thought summer skipped us this year. It seemed like it was going to go from spring to fall, which was just fine with me.

What? We scared you out of it, zelie?

::eats zelie’s portion of chocolate::

Yes, Roo, they look like large bananas, but aren’t eaten raw. They taste similar to bananas, but have a slightly stronger flavor, I think. Kinda hard to describe. Also, they taste different, depending on how long you let them ripen. Here’s a nice article about them.

Wow, thanks everybody  (especially Mindfield, that’s awesome!!)

I talked to my brother yesterday and we agreed that somehow my birthday had gotten mistakenly delivered to him instead of me.

My day: 7 straight hours in a windowless basement training room learning a dreadfully boring new work program.

His day: In Tucson on business, he was staying at a fancy, expensive hotel where he had just gotten a great massage after accidentally running into all 50 Miss America contestants in the lobby, all complete with sashes. Seriously.

Regardless, sounds like I had a much better day than VunderBob’s neighbor! Yikes.

And I think gardentraveler is giving me an idea. Maybe I should start writing down various addresses and randomly sending them postcards when I go on vacation!

and don’t sign them

Hey, I got an unsigned Charleston, SC postcard, too! (And they spelled my name right and everything. **That **is impressive. Most people don’t bother.)

I thought I posted here–how weird is that?

zelie–come tell us all about it. We’re nosey as hell and like to gossip. Oh, and we’re nice, dammit! No group hugs, though–<shudders at thought>
I’ve officially given up on the whole Idrive thing. (it’s uploading files onto the school’s server–it hates me). I DID make my very first pdf file, though–for another class. yay! I am very proud of myself for figuring it out.

Off to bed–feel chilly and tired. Had a great day at work (again) and got my 90 day review. They like me, they really like me! I didn’t EVER receive any review in my last unit–for 6 years. Nice.
Send me some of those lil bits of chocolate, peanut buttery love…

You were in the Valentine’s Day exchange, weren’t you? Maybe it’s a delayed Valentine? Heee. I was thinking it might be a Doper thing.

Thanks for the good thoughts everyone. Heading out to Dragon*Con tomorrow afternoon and won’t be around again until next week.

Everyone have a good Labor Day weekend! Or just a regular ole good weekend if you’re not in the States.

**rosie ** and Meeks and tarra, (and any other '07 Valentine Exchangers lurking out there), did you get unsigned postcards too? It made me smile.

Also…I was thinking I would volunteer for next Monday, unless someone else has a burning desire to start us off. I have an idea and everything!

There is a cricket chirping inside my house. I think it’s in the kitchen. It’s loud! I’ve looked for it once already and didn’t find it.

GT

not I, said the little red hen… - at least not yet

yay!

:: yawn ::

First day of school, I graded at a B, possibly a B+.

I promptly went and delivered several beerverages to mine own self.

School is in, routine will be back soon.

BTW - when Cuervo was adopted here, since we didn’t really know his real birthday, we established it as the day we closed on the house, since:

(A) It was really close to the day Doc guessed at, based on his age at adoption

and

(2) We’d remember it.

So…tomorrow marks Cuervo’s Official 2nd Burfday.

There will be celebration in the land, though this will not include tuna, as wet food tends to make the boy gack. And gacking w/o beer is no way to spend a birthday.

I’ll forward his birthday greetings…

I’m late, I’m late. . .for a very important date. . with my pillow.

Good night everyone!
(and good mornings to the night crew!)

I finished my sock! It’s more of an anklet, actually, but it came out pretty well for winging it the whole way. I’ll try to post some pics tomorrow.

Night night, all. (Morning, Lunch and all of our Old World MMPers.)

Why am I awake again? Maybe it’s cuz I’ve been lazing around all evening, kinda dozing off from time to time.

Yay for the good first day of school, MBG.

And before we forget:

Happy Birthday, Cuervo!!!

You are either dead (“late as in ‘the late Dentarthurdent’”) , or you’re SnowBunny’s sock puppet… :stuck_out_tongue:

Of course she is! She’s a teen-ager. ***All ***teen-agers are smarter than their parents. Always. It’s part of the job description

**Zelie **-- I missed seeing your sigh last night when I posted… what happened? Even if it’s OK now, we still [del]are a bunch of nosy parkers[/del] want to sympathize (sympathise?) with you.

**MBG **-- so long as it’s its burfday and not its barfday… tell him we wished him a happy one  And yay on the good start of the school year!

It’s only about 40 miles… this is a small country. And we can visit her, but I think we’ll embarrass her if we do it other than on weekends… And they get every second weekend at home (+occasional holidays) anyway (it’s not like anybody has to fly home or anything – the furthest-living kids may have a 6 hour trip each way if they use public transportation.) Specifically for us, it’s **maybe **75 minutes if we drive there (door-to-door in non-rush-hour traffic); it’ll probably take her 2-3 hours door-to-door using public transportation – we shall see!

Was that a sort of threat? It wasn’t terribly effective. And why can’t I be both?

Yes, I’m still awake, so I obviously missed the date. ~waving~ to Dotty. Too tired to think of an adequate song. I’ll think of one tomorrow.

Good Mornin’/Afternoon/Evenin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ here. It looks like it could be kinda stormish in a little while around here. Anywho, it’s cooler here, cooler bein’ a relative term as it’s only around seventy degrees Amurrkin right now. That’s downright fall like for around here. Looks like it may be a rainy Labor Day weekend too.

Lunch team leaders AKA supervisors wantin’ somebody for their natural beauty and ummm… charms is sump’n that only happens in Pr0n. Since I’ve never heard any boomboomchickachickabowwow music playin’ in the background at da brewry we will assume they are only after my brains, ok?

And now…

Catnip and/or beerverages for everybody!

I don’t sing to cats who are the wrong color for their name, sorry.

My brother’s non-girlfriend’s dad got the diagnosis: colon cancer, metastathized to the liver. As Mom told Lilbro “I don’t think he’s getting the bionic hip.” And this is a guy who was already on psychological treatment for depression and hypochondria.

The same brother has a work interview today. He got fired this same month, went up to Pamplona to drop his updated CV in person at a bunch of agents and one happened to need someone for Finance and for our area, so once more it looks like his bout with unemployment will be along the lines of “hi, I’m here to sign up for unemployment. Oh, excuse me, my cell’s ringing… hello? I’m at INEM, can you call me in ten? Oh. Oh, OK, thanks. Ehm, actually that call was to tell me I just got a job…” He didn’t really mean to start looking until October, since he’s going to China next month with several friends - one of them was the non-gf, but we don’t know whether she’ll still go or not.

Hey! That was Roo what came up with that idea!

Now I realize we’ve become kind of difficult to tell apart here… still. Sheesh, I get blamed for all the TMI here, even when it’s not me?

Not that I mind; I kind of enjoy the reputation…

Nice catch  And apparently Swampy thinks you’re my sock!? (or at least, that we’re in each others… no, I guess “socks” doesn’t really work here, does it?)
