Got A Beer Complaint? Tell Me All About It! The MMP

Hey, I got over it and had a very productive day, you brat! :stuck_out_tongue:

And I just heard FCD’s shower stop, so it’s my turn. Off for another day of fun. Be good, kids! Do your chores and no fighting!

MWAH!!

Dotty–sorry to hear about your sister. And good luck with the heat and your electricity problems.
Am off to work (again). This could take an hour or I could be there until 5. It all depends on whether anesthesia wants me to tranfuse a pt who is having surgery on Tuesday. I don’t know yet, so I’ m going in with the mindset that I’ll be there all day.
Congrats,** MBG** on a great job! Our buses seem to be running smoothly this year as well. Same drivers as last year (which my son likes) and they still pick up on the nose at 8:27. Yay!
Enjoy your Saturdays, all!

What, me bratty?

No. Never. Ever. We can clearly see the halo hovering over you. :stuck_out_tongue:

Up. Need to do laundry. Should also do something in the garden as today is supposed to be the coolest day of the weekend.

Sorry about your sister, Dotty. Good thoughts and prayers headed out.

Am I the only one who doesn’t think Donut Sticks look like sticks?

Maybe I’ll take a nap before getting serious about the day.

GT

Morning Mumpers!* It’s a cool 73 degree day, so I have the windows open. I got laundry in the dryer, coffee in me, and I mopped the floor. I may do breakfast in a bit. Enjoy your Saturday, I’m working all weekend.

gt, that’s not a halo, that’s a Frisbee painted gold.

Hi! Caffeinating, gettin ready to eat. Today’s schedule includes a trip to the gym, which I’ve neglected for about 10 days as of now, a stop to exchange the Child’s Comcast box, some grocery shopping, and perhaps cut the grass.

Tomorrow is some light yard work, perhaps buy and hang some outdoor speakers for the garage stereo, then nuttin.

And Monday is nuttin.

That is all.

Mornin’ everyone! Up and caffienating and trying to come to life.

Mr. Taters needs to hurry and up and get up because he’s supposed to be at a friend’s house in 30 minutes. He’s going to help him with moving.

I, on the other hand, get to face the hell that is the mall. No ifs, ands, or buts, today.

Those are my big plans. I know you envy me…

Dotty, I’m sorry to hear about your sister. I’ll keep all of you in my thoughts.

**MBG, ** I’m glad things went so smoothly. I’m glad you’re going to recognize your people.

Tomorrow’s plans call for a 99 party at our neighbor’s house and maybe going to the mall if we don’t finish up today.

Monday calls for doing nothing.

Oh! I forgot to add that I had Mr. Taters read Swampy’s OP. He thought it was pretty darn funny. He said, “That Swampy is good people and is so funny.”

Back from breakfastin’ and sail cover measurin’. **FCD ** just called - our dead boat was the result of a power surge - possibly a lightning strike. The battery charger had a couple of components that burned up, and, stupidly enough, the failure mode caused all 3 batteries to discharge to ground. There’s a good design. So he’s bringing the batteries home to charge here and we’ll see if they hold charge. Plus we need to replace the battery charger. And see about a surge protector. All the boats we’ve owned over the years and this is a first. A very expensive first.

I’m about to change into grubbies and go play with clay. I have one monster to decorate, a cat to trim and decorate, and a flower pot set to decorate. I want to make a batch of medallions and I may throw a few more pieces - depends on how full the kiln is going to be. I’ll start filling it today with the things that are dry and we’ll see how that goes.

Hugs, good wishes, congrats, butt-pinches, cheek tweeks, and gold stars all around as appropriate. And I’m off to get messy…

Morning, all. Up and caffeinating and vegging, with the windows open since it’s also a lovely cool 73° here (that’s just about 23° for you Celsius folks) with a nice light breeze. Wunnerful morning!

Good thoughts going out for your sister, Dotty!

McUne, you’re confusing a presser foot with the walking foot. Normally sewing machines come with feed dogs on the bottom that move the fabric along, and then just a smooth presser foot on top that presses down to keep the fabric against the feed dogs. A walking foot also has feed dogs, and hooks onto the arm that moves the needle up and down so the feed dogs on it move in synch with the feed dogs on the base of the machine. It’s great for moving heavy fabrics or thick layers of fabrics so they go through the machine in unison. And it’s an add-on for the vast majority of machines. [/sewing geek]

Off to knit. I thought up a cute design last night – diagonal stripes of lacy holes moving back and forth across a scarf. Actually, I started just doing diagonal stripes going in one direction, and after a few inches got bored so decided to angle them back the other way. Boredom is frequently the mother of invention, isn’t it?

Now I know what I want it to say on my tombstone.

Ok, back from brunch settin’ up, lunch and miscellaneous shoppin’. We went by the bread store and they had this display of Little Debbie’s snacks set up in an aisle that I did not go down. As I’m at the counter payin’ for the bread and pork skins that I bought (yes, pork skins! I like ‘em, get over it!) ol’ y’all know who comes up to the counter with sump’n in his hand. I didn’t notice what he had until after he paid for it. It was a box of donut sticks. He said, “I saw these and I just knew Jesus would want you to have 'em.” A regular comedian he is!

Oh, and since we et at the good Chinese place:

Your dream will come true when you least expect it.

<snerk> away!

It has been decreed that we shall have nap time, so I think I shall go nap.

Later Y’all!

WOO!!! 78% contained! And they’re estimating it’ll be 100% by Monday – they’ve been veeeeeery conservative about guessing a containment date, so it’s pretty damn certain if they’re giving one!

Yep…definitely going to check out the fire[del]fighters[/del] camp, just to get outside if nothing else.

Up, breakfasted and caffienated (sp???). At 7AM this morning it was 90 degs outside that is insane.

I am off to purchase new kitty supplies then go to Lowes to look at tile for my bathroom remodel. I have the ugliest second bathroom EVER and this will be my first project in my new house - remove old tile then re-tile on the bath surround then install new vanity and repaint. I have already ripped out the ugly glass doors off the tub and tile removal is todays project. Not sure what colour theme it will be yet as there is no natural light…decision, decisions

Other plans for the weekend include gym, stay out of the expected 110 deg heat, pick up new kitty, stay out of the expected 110 deg heat, cook something yet ot be decided, stay out of the expected 110 deg heat and perhaps go to the beach on Monday to stick my toes in the Pacific Ocean

Have fun, play nice, be careful!

That ACBG, he is a comedian, isn’t he?

<snerk!>In bed!!!<snerk!>

Yay on the fire being almost contained!

Back from library. Off to Target and maybe Kohl’s, then back to do laundry…

Fun times!

GT

Damn straight it’s a halo! None of this golden frisbee nonsense either!

I’ve. dazzled people with it before, and in many cases, blinded them outright!

Just waiting for the kids to finish getting ready, then we’re off to the hell that is the mall. Ugh…I’m not looking forward to this. I really hope we get it all done today, because I don’t want to have to return there any time soon.

Temps are about low 70s here. Nice and pleasant…

I’m glad to hear the fire is nearly contained. They had a small piece about it on the news the other night.

Well, pray for me and hope I survive the mobs. I don’t do well with crowds.

I went to the annual Altrusa Book Sale and got 30 books - 27 paperbacks and 3 hardbacks - for $40. Not bad. For some reason they had a really good selection of science fiction this year. But I swear I saw 97 copies of John Grisham’s “The Firm”.

Swampy – What a great story! And what a wonderful lady she sounds like. Here’s hoping she’s still getting you all to lay out Birthday Brunch for her in another 20 years

Taters, I hate crowds, too :frowning: Got to go out there and brave them sometimes, though…

SnowBunny – great news on the fire finally being brought truly under control! As for going [del]hunting at[/del] visiting the FF camp – what, there aren’t enough worthy guys right here, inside your monitor? Just sayin’

Roo? You there?

Also, wasn’t **Haze **supposed to be back online starting Tuesday?

Yeah, but…there’s something like 1300 of them! (A rough estimate, leaving out the women, who just aren’t my type.) Right down the road! And I’ve seen enough of them around town to know that they are all worthy of appreciation. A girl only has so much energy, you know.

You know, you might want to rethink making comments like that where your mom is listening…

palebunny remember, pace yourself. You might even do a little “window shoppin’” before you start pouncin’ firefighters. Great news on the fire containment!

taters you brave soul, may Og have mercy on you whilst you’re maulin’.

mmmmmmmms have fun remodelin’ the bathroom. I do not envy you. I want to redo my master bath but I don’t look forward to it at all.

Ok, we’ve napped and had an oh so adult snack. We had bleu cheese, rye crackers, seedless grapes and granny smith apple slices washed down with some wine. It was all just so couth, suave and sophisticated! ACBG brought the bleu cheese from work. They had a thing there and one of the goodies was a fruit and cheese tray. Nobody touched the bleu cheese so he brought it to me. Thus the couth, suave, sophisticated snack. We’ll make up for it later cause supper will be hot dogs and beer.

SpecialLunch#1 she is a wonderful lady. I’ve acutally talked with several people on the phone yesterday and today who called to ask if there’s anything special I think she’d like for brunch. I named off some stuff I know she likes so maybe some of it will show up tomorrow. I know the casserole I made is sump’n she likes. She’s one of those “classic beauty” types. You know, the type that could show up wearin’ sweatpants and a burlap sack and still look good. I’m willin’ to bet most of you Mumper wimmens would oooh and ahhhh for hours over the jewelry she wears. She has some incredible stuff!

It’s rainy here and only 78 degrees Amurrkin outside right now! BRRRRR!!!
