Grape vs. Strawberry Jelly

I just had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with grape jelly. It tasted OK, but I’m more of a strawberry jelly kind of guy. Which do you prefer?

(And please, let’s not get nit-picky and discuss the merits of jelly, jam, preserves, etc.)

I love strawberry as well. I mean, I’ll eat grape if that’s all that is available, but if I have a choice, it’s strawberry.

Well…

(I swear that I’m not doing this just to be a pain)

I prefer raspberry
RADAR TECH: Sir. The radar, sir. It appears to be…

*Jam starts dripping down the screen.*

RADAR TECH: …jammed.

DARK HELMET: Jammed? (takes a taste of the jam)
Raspberry.
There’s only one man who would dare give me the raspberry. (pulls down mask) Lone Starr!

I much prefer jam or preserves. I like the chunks of fruit, think of them as jelly al dente.

it’s grape.

~~Grape of course…

Only axe murderers put strawberry on a PB&J…

Blackberry jam is much superior to either grape or strawberry, of course.

Don’t get me started on creamy peanut butter, which is an abomination.

grape jelly belongs in the pit of hell with raisins if you ask me. strawberry’s pretty good, but have you ever tried peanut butter with apricot jelly? it’s to die for.

I like to eat strawberry preserves right out of the jar. I never did like grape jelly.
However I would never dream of soiling a perfectly good peanut butter sandwich with any kind of jelly.

Mmmm… blackberry jam…

peach preserves are quite good, too. My mother used to make them when my granddad brought us down a box of fresh peaches from his ranch thingy.

Bah. Heathens.

Grape jelly goes on PB&J.

Raspberry jam. All the way.

Unless of course I’ve got a jar of homemade Saskatoon berry jam handy.

Tedster and jinwicked are apparently people of refinement and distinction. As long as the jam is seedless.

Guess I’d better go buy an axe …

Strawberry or Raspberry, then I might think about using Grape. But none stand up to Ollalieberry. If you’re ever in San Luis Obispo, stop by the Ag Dept’s store and pick some up.

We have store bought grape for the peanut butter. The strawberry and blackberry are homemade and never used on a peanut butter sandwich.

Crunchy PB, orange marmalade, on buttered toast. any other way is an abomination.

Strawberry preserves.

Jelly just doesn’t spread as well. Gets all lumpy & stuff. And there’s nothing like chomping down on a real strawberry while indulging in the belly-filling, soul-satifying bliss that is PB&J. Like a gift from the gods.

[sub]yeah, yeah, you’ve gotta floss the seeds out when you’re done, but it’s soooooo worth it![/sub]

For me, it has to be crunchy peanut butter, Raspberry jam, and toasted Italian bread. Mmmmmm.

Then again, if the bread’s not toasted I will always prefer crunchy peanut butter & marshmallow fluff.

OK, so this started off as a harmless little thread about grape vs. strawberry jelly, and then Tedster had to go and ruin my sandwich by putting crunchy peanut butter on it. How dare you!
I kid, of course. Crunchy is OK in a pinch, but then it absolutely HAS to be strawberry jelly. If I ave a crunchy PB- and grape-J sandwich, well I don’t know what I’d do.
