It’s something going on in her memory…it’s a HOLE in her memory. The lightning flashes are her synapses firing.
Ew. Ew ew ew. I can handle the usual level of scariness in this show, but tonight was just effin’ gross and oogie.
Eye See what you’re saying there.
My god, you ain’t kidding. That was grosser than many R-rated movies. And Nick is a serious badass, especially now that he can use The Force.
So, eye-worms made Nick hear better? My thought is he was always able to hear better - as a Grimm power - but never knew it as no one taught him, and he never focused on it. Without vision, he had nothing to distract him and so learned about his super-hearing.
Lastly: goggles folks. Goggles.
I thought this was one of the better monster-of-the-week episodes.
When they were headed to the house where the sister was, I was shouting at the screen “Put on some freaking goggles, you morons!”
That was a very Star Wars moment at the end with the cudgel and gourds, wasn’t it? Stretch out with your feelings, Nick.
Let go your conscious self and act on Grimmstinct…
Did anyone else feel they were hinting about a dark side to Nick? New, or maybe just emerging? That grin at the end…
Definitely.
No jokes about calling the SWAT team. I call that a missed opportunity.
Ha!
I don’t know that I saw a dark side as much as a “ready to kick some ass” side.
I could accept that. i think it’s going to be a shift from Nick putting ‘cop’ first all the time to taking shortcuts by going to the Grimm side. As in, why worry if the penal system can handle an evil type of wessen, when you can just kill him in the first place and avoid the problem?
It seems that generally all the other creatures have good reason to fear Grimms, even when they’re not particularly bad themselves.
Seems a reasonable storyline possibility that his nature will start to pull him down a path he doesn’t want to go.
Especially since this particular time - going the cop route almost cost him his sight and his life -
So, he will have to find a better way to balance his cop vs grimm instinct so that he can know when to do what.
That’s fine but when bodies start piling up they will have some 'splainin to do. Nick was already questioned once over that. Luckily this week the lady was the one who did the kill.
I think he will still be cop-first when we’re talking regular wessen criminals—that is, someone who comitts a run of the mill crime that happens to be a wessen. I think the “ready to kick some ass” part is going to be reserved for the Royals. He’s already killed plenty of their operatives and the dumb bastards don’t seem to be learning the lesson, so I think next season is going to involve him heading to Europe to take care of business.
Well, he just has to start being tidier. There no reason to litter the landscape with unburied bodies, is there?
Maybe he should consult one Dexter Morgan for tips on this. ![]()
So wormy fly parasites turn grimms into Daredevil? Eye did not know that. That is weird wild stuff.
