So, at some point, the royal dudes are going to have to run out of assassins, right?
“Next time, send your best”. (giggle)
It’s just beating a dead horse.
That was a great scene with Renaud.
“How did he die?”
“It seems like someone beat him with a hammer.”
Pause as he fights back a smile.
“That’s too bad.”
***Grimm ***was the highest rated primetime show last night on the major networks. The same rating (1.6 with the 18-49 group) on a weeknight would be bad, but it looks pretty good for a Friday.
They also took out the stoopid Hitler footage ![]()
And apparently half breeds are possible, at least amongst vessen. At least that blutbad had no trouble knocking up that sheep girl in his flock.
You would think. They keep building them up, then Nick kills them all without breaking much of a sweat. It’s going to get too boring quickly if the audience never feels like Nick is threatened. I would like to see Nick out of commission for at least an ep., then have Hank, Monroe, and Rosalee save the day.
Maybe they can make Nick vulnerable by having his mom or Juliette join the dark side, maybe team them up with the captain.
No input on Friday’s Monroe/Rosalee heavy ep? I thot it was quite good - Monroe, as usual, was AWESOME! And the “clever draping” to hide the pregnancy of the actress playing Rosalee is creative, but like it or not, she’s showing/glowing!
I esp. liked the scene of Monroe and Hank getting drunk together and talking about hexenbiesten.
Yeah, good episode. I was wondering when Monroe’s old flame would return.
That was rather obvious. I had forgotten (after reading about it weeks ago) that Bree Turner was pregnant when they were shooting this season. Then when I saw how they were filming her in this episode I remembered.
I liked the scenes with Juliette. While at first I didn’t like that the writers chose to have her conveniently lose her memory, I am glad that at least they didn’t just do some quick-fix “reset button” solution after one episode to give her memories back. Looks like Adalind is returning soon, though, so maybe Nick and the gang will be able to coerce her into restoring Juliette’s memories of Nick.
Has everyone stopped watching, or do we just have nothing to say?
I didn’t care for them throwing in a ghost this week – I felt like they were breaking their deal with us.
Plus, I can’t believe the entire Portland PD has only one bilingual officer, and I further can’t believe that they’d bring Juliette in for that.
What’s the deal with her and the captain? I thought she was scared of him, but now it seems like she’s in love with him.
Monroe revealing his blutbad self to the mean kids at the end was awesome.
And another Grimm going after those sweet beaver creatures?
(What happened to Nick’s mom, BTW? Not the slightest reference to her since she didn’t get on the bus – presumably she’s still in or around Portland.)
Still watching, but as you say, not much to say. No major revelations, just a “regular” monster of the week series right now.
Still watching.
I think they were just having a bit of fun and throwing us a ghost story for Halloween.
I agree though, NO ONE in the Portland PD speaks Spanish? :dubious:
The Monroe ending was really great though!
I want to go to Monroe’s house for Halloween!
I think they left it ambiguous enough that the woman in white wasn’t necessarily a real ghost. The ghostly images of her children in the water could have been just in her mind. And her disappearing at midnight could have been her just deciding not to tangle with a Grimm anymore and bugging out. Based on her dual appearance, she was obviously a wesen of some sort, but a type that even the Grimms know nothing about. She’d make a good repeat villain for a future episode.
So that one woman (the boy’s aunt?) seemed to know exactly what kind of spell had been used on Juliette. I wonder if she’ll end up being able to help.
What do you think is up with that bumbling rookie cop? They have been making him very conspicuous in the last two episodes, for no apparent reason. Obviously they’re planning something with him…
He’s not a rookie cop, he’s an intern of some sort.
Agree, though, he’s being introduced for some future plot point.
I was thinking he might be the other Grimm. He is checking Nick out, and putting on a dumb kid routine to avoid attention.
That’s what I am thinking as well -
As for this episode - I loved it - the pacing was great - for us it was “damn, we’re in the final segment already?” They used Juliette as a way to further that story as well - def a stretch that there wasn’t another translator, but makes perfect sense in the “preservation of characters” rule.
Good Halloween episode, Monroe did it right, that’s how kids learn. Yes I’m still watching, it’s a great night when it’s on. The next one looks to be back to basic story line, with the new grim angry about a grim having vessen for friends. Can’t wait but you know I have too.
I almost drowned at Kelly Point Park as a kid, but there was no La Llorona that I remember and it definitely wasn’t at midnight.
