Grimm, Season 3

Just as a remark. Did anyone else noticed that Claire Coffee (the actress who plays Adalind) is listed as one of the “regulars” this season ?

Well, they need a regular villain, and now that the captain seems to be part of Nick’s posse, he’s out.

The entire scene was boring. Look, you knew Adalind was going to get her powers back; otherwise, why have her in the show at all? So all the rigamarole was just tedious and her reaction didn’t make it any less so.

This week’s episode was pretty unengaging. Hopefully, it will improve now that the zombie Nick is gone.

Well, the Captain’s brother is (supposedly) dead - and he just had a ‘nice’ call with mother - so, the Captain’s story and/or motivations may change a bit.

Any bets it was staged?

even odds -

Which, the brother’s death or the mother’s phone call?

Yes…

brother’s death -

Yeah, the brother’s definitely still alive.

Bro’s death was faked, and Mommy Dearest’s call was part of the ruse.

I can see why Nick might feel some guilt, but come on, someone (Juliet?) literally said something like “Nick’s a murderer”. No, he’s not. He didn’t have any premeditation. At worst he’d be a manslaughterer (and given it was both self defense and under the influence not of his own doing, that’s a huge stretch).

I’m betting we find out someone else killed the guy after the fact to try and frame Nick, though.

So, the after-effect of the zombie incident is to give Nick a new superpower?

Or to reveal one…

On another tack, who do you think M is ? My vote is “Mother”. Also, loved the tip o’ the hat to Chinatown.

Absolutely is Nick’s Mom - ‘haven’t spent the money’ is code about the greek coins.

And Jake Barnes is, of course, the hero of Hemingway’s “Sun Also Rises.” Who’s impotent.

 Missed that one !

I think we’ll be seeing more of the “expanded powers” that were teased last season (remember the “fruit ninja” training session in the woods?). The zombie experience has apparently enhanced Nick’s innate Grimm abilities, or possibly made him more able to turn them on and off at will (or subconsciously). It has also had a curious effect on his metabolism, as he doesn’t seem to tire and can apparently slow his breathing (and heart rate, etc.) for short (?) periods of time.

Oh, and M. is definitely Mom.

Right, I’m thinking the metabolic thing is definitely a zombie aftereffect – note the gray skin and red eyes when he does it.

I thought M=Mom as well. I will be pissed if we spend the rest of the season with Juliet having MiL issues.
