Yeah, I’m really digging the Juliette storyline.
Rosalee and Monroe were pretty stupid to make that call to the Council. What kind of response did they expect?

Some questions.
Why is anybody worried about Nick killing her? He doesn’t really have a “Grim nature,” he only kills in self defense or defense of another.
Doesn’t Juliette and/or Sean know that Nick took Adalind’s powers? And neither one thought to try that?
Juliette has been acting weird, says she can take on Adalind, and then Nick comes home to protect her from a deadly, hard to kill, killer, sees that he stabbed himself, and Juliette calmly saying she got lucky, and Nick finds none of this suspicious?
Yeah, that’s silly unless she turns evil. Nick didn’t feel the need to kill Renard’s mom and she’s full-on Hexenbiest.
I think they know that, but I got the impression it isn’t going to work this time. That woman she’s seeing seems to be knowledgeable about those things. Of course, she could have an agenda of her own.
Very suspicious, and I think Nick was going “hm.” It’s really not a good idea to go to Renard first, especially given their history. Juliette should have told Nick the moment something strange was going on. Wasn’t J really into Nick being honest and open? Hypocritical now to keep secrets.
I didn’t even think about that, but that’s a good point. But then again, keeping secrets seems to be the go to for manufacturing drama on shows like this.
True. They tortured poor Wu for ages. But there were good reasons for not telling someone who doesn’t know about Wesen, but Juliette is surrounded by friends in the know.
And Wu does appear to be developing encyclopedic knowledge of the wesen. He called the manticore in one.
Yup, he’s quickly becoming the expert.
I think that, unfortunately, they’re going to go with Juliette’s hexenbiest nature turning her evil somehow. I’d rather just see her be a badass fighting on the good side.
The inevitable showdown with Adalind should be good.
You’d think they would have gotten the Scorpion King rather than the Mummy. ![]()
Hand and Wu weren’t let in on the secret for a long time because of the premise that telling normal people about wesen could drive them crazy. Yet, it was Hank and Wu seeing wessen, and NOT being told about them that almost drove them crazy.
I wonder what the going rate for Dwayne Johnson is.
I was disappointed Arnold Vosloo only got one episode. He deserves at least a few eps.
I feel like they should have at least mentioned it. A simple “No, I don’t think that will work here, because [reasons]” would suffice; doing so might sound like a transparent wank, but I suspect any fan of the show is going to scratch their heads otherwise.
Agreed, maybe I’m projecting (or giving too much credit to the actor) but the look on his face seemed to indicate that he found the situation odd.
I think she was planning to? But he was busy with saving Monroe at the time, and the seriousness of her transformation seemed to progress from there. Renard sort of makes sense in that his mother’s actions lead to the scenario, and she’d be the natural place to look for an answer.
But the secretiveness does seem rather out of character.
I thought it odd that she didn’t just tell Nick she killed the manticore because she’s a hexenbeist. When Nick called her to tell her he was on his way home because the manticore got loose, she said right then that she needed to tell him something, giving me the impression that if nothing had happened before Nick arrived, she would have told him right then. Seemed to still be a perfect time to explain what really happened instead of the lame “I got lucky.”
I really like the new Wu.
It’s a TV Trope and meme, you have to have misunderstandings and secrets between loved ones.
The kid as the one who hired the arsonist was quite predictable. Called that before the daylight investigation scene.
I was disappointed in the biestfight. Juliette did not wave Adalind’s trachea in a victory dance… Finally cluing Nick in was a good start, though.
I wasn’t sure who hired him. At first I thought it was the lawyer, but then when the son talked about not wanting the family business I figured it out.
I thought it was kind of funny that Adalind didn’t seem confused as to why Juliette was a Hexenbiest. She just seemed to accept it with no questions.
Son talked to the lawyer, lawyer directly hired the arsonist .
IOW - they were in on the plan together.
I don’t think she had much time at that point to think - loved seeing the little bitch run scared.
I’d have to go back and re-watch - but I thought there was a little “what the ???” moment when she first flung the vase at Juliette.
Yeah, I think it was not so much that she wasn’t confused as that survival took precedence. I’m sure she went off to WTF her heart out after she got the hell out of there.
Also, I <3 Rosalie.
Were Hexens always that powerful? I must be misremembering. I know they have an aptitude towards magic, but I don’t recall them throwing people around and mentally (telekinetically?) tossing around furniture and stuff. Adalind didn’t have her powers for awhile so maybe I forgot, but it seems a HB with powers can do a lot of damage. At this point, Juliette could easily dispatch any Wesen Nick & friends have had difficulty with. I don’t see why Adalind couldn’t have broken herself out of the castle back in Europe, anytime she wanted to.
Can Renard do Hexen stuff? He can fight. Has he ever done anything else Hexen-like? I know he’s half Hexen, half royal, whatever that means.
