It’s been established that Juliette is much more powerful than a normal hexenbiest.
Most of what happened in the fight was caused by Juliette who is extremely powerful for a Hexenbiest.
I don’t think they’ve ever shown Renard using any telekinetic powers. I don’t know if that means he doesn’t have them or not.
One thing from the beginning of the show that I’ve noticed they’ve tossed out is that Hexenbiests are supposed to be very loyal to royalty. In what few Hexenbiests have been shown lately they seem to be missing that trait.
No new eps for a month? Argh!
New episode tonight!
Yay, they explained why Nick’s blood won’t work.
Juliette was a bit harsh IMHO
What will the baby be like?
Brian
Yeah, Juliette sprang this on him yesterday and expects him to have dealt with it already and be acclimated enough to kiss her hexenbiest? Bit selfish. I bet the new baby is the key to curing her though.
I guess the blood of another Grimm (like Trubel) wouldn’t work?
I knew Adalind would get pregnant from Nick! What took so long?
I wonder if this episode was inspired by the killings and maimings of albinos in Africa, for pretty much the same reason.
Juliette is being kind of a bitch. I assume it’s the Hexenbiest influence.
I thought it was a great episode. I laughed for like 5 minutes when I put the Peter Rabbit thing together. They managed to do Monster of the Week, get in some laughs, and move the arc along nicely. And yeah, it’s not like Juliette was on board with the whole Grimm and Wesen thing in a day. Challenging him to kiss any Wesen during volga I would think would be a problem. Like Rosalie - she’s cute when transformed, but kissable? Mmm. Not so much unless you’re a kiss-your-dog-on-the-lips type. (Not that she’s a dog, just the same reaction, it’s not for most people!)
Nope. She said “the blood of a Grimm” would not work. Of course, whether this is the truth or not is another matter.
Yeah. There is “in sickness and in health” and then there is “whoa! Blindfolds, party drugs and lots of alcohol are fair!”
Or, just don’t woge during sex. Is that a requirement?
Indeed. It’s been ten months in real time since they slept together. Even in-show it’s been 14 episodes (including Christmas). I wonder if they’ll address this at all. Probably not.
I’m thinking it somehow happened when Juliette switched Nick back, which is what triggered her turning hexenbeist. I know they flashed back to when Adalind did the first switch, but maybe that was just to remind everyone that she did it first?
Maybe Hexenbeisten store sperm, like guppies.
I seem to recall early on something about Grimms and hexenbeists being a bit more enemy then standard Grimm/Wessen- the things Nick is fighting when he see’s Juliette vogued may be a bit more ingrained then he/she realizes at the moment.
Makes it kind of interesting. Do they end up back together as Grimm and Hexenbeist (which seems a little unlikely), does she get cured? Does she WANT to be cured - after all, this is a lot of power. Do they end up as ‘friends’ with her still on Team Grimm? If so, does Nick get a new lover? (Seems somewhat unlikely as that would be another actor and associated costs for the show’s production.)
I’m thinking, long run, we already have a Portland Wessen Council. Sean Renard as the Royal Princeling of Portland, Nick as the Grimm/Right Hand/Enforcer, Monroe, Rosalee, Bud, Hank/Wu representing the Kehrseite-Genträger, possibly Juliette. Rosalee being the connection back to the old Wessen Council. And they also represent a newer, more enlightened Wessen Law that doesn’t put up with those old style murdery traditions.
What I’m interested to see would be the Wessen Council sending another Grimm to take out Sean and Nick’s support. Does that Grimm decide that Nick is right about the way he operates? Does he make this decision before he does something really shocking like kill Rosalee? Or is he an unrepentant old style “kill all Wessen” type who has to be taken out?
Do Grimms work with Wessen councils? I thought they pretty much did their own thing.
There’s also a hell of a big difference between kissing an animal and kissing a rotted corpse.
Okay, I still think our favorite hexenbeast is going to use baby #2 to leverage getting Nick to help her get Diana back - built-in hostage. This plan would totally work - no way Nick would let her harm his kid rather than help her get her own back.
And I also think it’s biologically Juliette’s baby as well. Maybe only because a decade ago I wrote a badfic where a character kept getting morning sickness and positive pregnancy tests, without any evidence of a baby, only to find that aliens inserted her baby in someone else.
Juliette was channeling me tonight.
“I thought you were half Hexenbiest?”
“Everyone gets that wrong. I’m a Sauberbiest.”
Okay, what the hell is that???
