Grimm, Season 4

Rosalee indicated that the term Hexenbiest is reserved for the female, while a male (such as Sean Renard) would instead be called a Zauberbiest (TSOW-bər-beest; Germ. Zauber “magic” or Zauberer “wizard” + Biest “beast”) (“Mr. Sandman”) or Warlock.(Grimm: The Warlock Issue 4)

Have we ever seen Renard woged? Did he have the rotted corpse look or something different?

Okay, thanks!

Yeah, I think half is face is rotting, I guess because he’s only half Hexen/Zauberbiest.

I don’t think you can be “half” - you either are or aren’t -

I do recall Monroe and Rosalee describing the complexities of human/wessen copulation and breeding - and they may have had words to describe the offspring of a mixed pair that implied “half breed” vs “pure breed” - but I don’t think that implies “you only get half the traits”.

You can check out some photos of him: https://www.google.com/search?q=grimm+renard&espv=2&biw=1240&bih=617&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=NeEWVdTKL9jYoASfoIGoCw&ved=0CC8QsAQ

His face isn’t completely desiccated.

Was there a scene missing from the preview? Adeline fantasizing about telling Nick she was pregnant and him saying “oh, I’m so happy,” or something like that? Or did I just miss it?

Thanks! Yes, clearly less extreme than the other hexenbiest looks.

His mother is a hexenbiest and his father is human. Lots of people of mixed ethnicities say they’re half X and half Y.

I hope this Juliette/Nick lover’s quarrel gets over quickly. I’m sick of them constantly breaking up and making up. I’m thinking that Nick’s aunt was right. He should have broken up with Juliette when he found out he was a Grimm.

Also, that’s strange that Frederick is sending Viktor back home. That seemed to come out of nowhere. I’m sure there’s a good real life reason, but in-story it doesn’t make much sense.

It did seem like “the actor has prior commitments.”

I’d like to see some of the other resistance guys.

Yeah, I figured they only had him for a limited number of episodes. But unless something came up unexpectedly I think they could have scripted it a tad bit better.

Unlike most shows this one, for the most part, doesn’t just drop certain story lines and move on. I’m positive we’ll see more about the resistance in future episodes.

Yeah I was wondering that too. We watched last week’s then last night’s episodes back to back, and I thought that was in last week’s preview for last night’s episode, but I didn’t remember seeing it during the episode. Now I’m going to have to go back and check the DVR again.

We wondered what was up with that too. It definitely wasn’t in this episode, so did it get cut but made the promo anyway, or was last week’s supposed to be one of the this-season instead of the in-the-next-episode types?

It seemed like that scene should have gone right before the whole, “I need to find you a new Daddy,” monologue, but maybe it will turn up in a later episode.

As despicable as Adeline is, I did kind of feel for her when she said, “I can’t have another baby… I don’t know where the *first *one is!”

Claire Coffee is pregnant in real life, so I suppose that is why she is pregnant on the show, though I don’t know why it was necessary, story-wise.

I laughed out loud at that one.

I laughed too, but still felt for her  It’s funny because it’s true.

At this point she seems to be an anti villain.

Something occurred to me a couple days ago. The royal family wants Adeline’s baby really bad. But yet, wasn’t Renard not fully accepted because his mom was a hexenbiest and his father was a human royal?

What’s up with there being a HUMAN royalty for wesen, anyway? Why not, oh, lion derived wesen instead?

I don’t get the human royalty either. That Kenneth guy seemed pretty strong for a regular human.

What did Truble mean by “Josh moved back in?”
