The thread had been open in its own window, er, several hours and I guess I didn’t refresh. Mea culpa.
Lord, so did I. I couldn’t wait to show the episode to my husband to see his reaction.
Definitely agree with previous comments about the lead actor. There’s something very generic about him. It’s as if he should be posing in an old Sears Catalog.
Overall, the show doesn’t really hang together very well. And the acting is often iffy. And the procedural stuff is blatantly ridiculous. And yet I keep watching it.
Well, it is awfully pretty.
And maybe someday SuperGrimm will express an emotion.
So Monroe has a new girlfriend. Cool. I gather that there are no inter-species problems, since he’s a blutbad and she’s a whatever the hell she is?
And did the uniformed cop eat more of the cookie after Nick left?
I can sorta see the black cop eating the cookie from the woman he was attracted to, but found it totally unbelievable that Nick and his girlfriend would dig into that pie. Hello? Hasn’t he had plenty of warnings that some of the wiesen would like to do away with grimms?
All I’d like to know is why the beat cop ate part of the couch?? Because it seemed like something completely normal to him and, perhaps, had been done before versus the munchies after an overdose. Or a hallucination. Bizarre. I almost expected him to turn, too.
No, couch stuffing.
I thought the same thing, but I guess they’re meek creatures and are trying to appease Nick rather than off him.
I was thinking he was still under the effect of the cookie, but he may very well be a creature. That’s an interesting theory.
What do you guys think of last nights episode?
Wasn’t that great, but I assume that it is leading up to something bigger next week or the week after.
What about at the end when Nick’s GF was shooting. Is Marksmanship a sign of one the Vessen maybe? If she is one, it seems like she doesn’t know it, which is weird.
I just wanna see the dragon lady again, she was hot.
Oh, couch stuffing! :smack: I thought he’d picked up a knapsack and taken something out of it, like he’d brought the rest of the cookie home with him.
It did seem weird that Nick just left him alone like that – if someone goes through an experience like that, and you know what’s going on but he doesn’t, and he says he’s hungry, don’t you make him a sandwich and hang out and talk for a while? See what he wants to eat? Figure out if any of the cookie is left and get rid of it?
Nick didn’t know it was the cookie though. And whats-his-name seemed fine.
Yeah, he didn’t know it was the cookie – but he knew the cop had eaten a love potion intended for someone else. Don’t you think Nick should have shown a wee bit more rigor in investigating what the foodstuff was, who it was intended for, and whether the cop really was okay or not?
Yeah, if I was Nick I would have asked him what he ate before getting sick.
For a detective, he’s none too swift. Thank god he’s pretty.
I enjoyed Rosalee in this episode–particularly her willingness to see Nick as a sympathetic figure (after her initial reaction) and also the way she saw Nick and Monroe as partners.
I was happy that Monroe’s house was back! We haven’t seen it since the beet sausage scene in “Tarantella.” Monroe’s house is awesome.
The love spell thing is going to play out over three episodes, so I guess that’s why they didn’t look into the source of Wu’s affliction.
Sgt. Wu has done weird stuff like that in other episodes, but I can’t give you a specific.
I, too, thought he had pulled over a man bag and taken something normal and edible out of it. Couch stuffing didn’t enter my mind. I was just relieved it wasn’t cookie-shaped.
And definitely rooting for Monroe to get him a lady friend! Especially one who knows all kinds of wessen roots and herbs, and can be another resource for the Grimm.
Bahahaha these were my thoughts, exactly.
The couch stuffing thing was completely bizarre.
I hope Monroe and the lady get it on. Monroe deserves to be happy and get laid. Plus it’ll be nice to have more creatures on opposite sides understanding Nick and Monroe.
Anyone have any ideas as to what the rat/fridge repairman was up to? A pie? And a quilt and fixing the door? Seemed quite odd to me. Was that in any way connected to the “heroin” creatures?
There’s been an an ongoing arc plot with the beaver guys (Eisbibers). I think it’s mostly about Nick developing a relationship with the Wesen community (aside from Monroe). Episode 19 is going to be “Leave it to the Beavers.”
I also took it as a “Thank you for not killing us, Mr. Grimm, now what can we do to keep it that way?” sort of thing.
so - Grimm against the first of the baddies - he put him down pretty effectively - and then runs after the other without cuffing/securing the first one - or were we to take it that he was dead?
so, if the partner doesn’t get the full dose (he’s shy one cookie), is that how he’ll be able to break the spell?
fantastic face melting affects!
There was a metal song/interlude - any idea who that was?
That’s something I’ve been wondering as well.
