Grimm

The smaller “prey” species might also see a real advantage to a local Grimm killing off the lions and snakes, but willing to leave them alone.
I thought it was interesting that Monroe’s new love interest is going to be there to cure magical aliments, as a parallel to Juliet’s ability to dispense stitches and antibiotics. She was pretty good remembering a cure she’d seen once at 17, before she became a junkie.
Hopefully Nick will figure out the cookie next week if Griffin complains someone stole it and remembers Sgt Wu sniffing around and hinting. The couch stuffing thing was weird. I wonder if Wu’s a mouse of some sort. They sometimes live in couches. Why didn’t they put him in his bed?

FYI, my friend filmed a few more episodes, so you’ll all be seeing the beavers again. Not sure yet when they’ll air.

Cool! Like a Doper-in-law, kinda.

I was saying that the beavers should have a rivalry with some duck wesen. Heh.

Decent episode. I’m wondering though, even if Nick lets Julia in on being a Grimm, how does he prove it? Unless humans can see when vessen (is that what they’re called?) slip and show their true selves, how can he convince her?

Wu ate a paperclip?! Is this a side effect of the cookie still? They’re going to have to pump his stomach before long. Maybe he’s a goat wessen.

They said in the last episode that the love potion cookies cause obsessive tendencies in the victim, as we see in the black cop hallucinating and stalking the girl. Pica, the pathological need to eat non foods like couch stuffing, has been linked to, and may sometimes be a sympton of, OCD. That’s my guess there.

I’m wondering, does anybody have a WAG as to why Garfield there is scarred on his cat face, and completely blemish free when he looks human?

He’s been eating stuff like that for several episodes, even before the cookie.

Occam’s razor. Given the large number of other people doing shit, clearly whatever is going on is not just in Nick’s head. Here’s an explanation that explains it.

Plus he could show her the trailer.

Thats what I said - take her to the trailer - 'all of this is real, i’ve been trying to protect you from it, clearly I can’t. Lady you just helped save? She was a real tweety that we saved from Sylvester the cop"

Remember Morgan? Hes a Not so Bad Big Wolf.

He already talked about it with Monroe a few episodes ago, Monroe said he could wolf out and she would see it but that most regular people just weren’t equipped to handle that knowledge.

At this point, I don’t see that Nick has any real choice about talking to Juliette if he still wants her in his life. He told her things were going to calm down, but there’s absolutely nothing he’s experienced that would suggest that; on the contrary, the longer he continues as a Grimm, the less calm things are likely to be.

twickster is right; at this point, enough weird things have happened involving Juliette that she might well be able to accept an Occam’s Razor explanation, especially if, as DigitalC says, Monroe actually can show her his wolfiness. It’s silly to say ‘most people can’t handle it.’ The vast majority of people believe far less plausible stuff with no evidence whatsoever, but they call it religion or <pseudo>science. The fact is, I suspect that most people are willing, even eager, to believe that there are things beyond natural explanation, whether they call it religion or New Age Wisdom or ESP or mysteries of the Orient. What are a few Wesen among friends, especially since it seems like at least ten percent of the population appear to be one kind or another?

Juliette is positioned to be a considerable asset to Nick, and his unwillingness to tell her strikes me as a silly film/TV trope, like the “will they or won’t they get together” romance thing on so many shows. It’s getting to the point where if they continue to emphasize it, I will get disgusted and stop watching. He should tell her or dump her, and since I don’t feel strongly about her as a character, I really don’t care which.

In other news, it appears that the new character, Rosalee the Fuchsbau, is already making herself useful as another source of exposition. The fact that Nick now has an amateur antique collector/dealer and what I would call an apothecary as sources of Wessen information is a highly convenient plot device. But it’s awfully nice to see Monroe get a little pleasure in his life.

I missed or forgot where Monroe said he could “wolf out” on her. I’m voting Nick have him do that then. That is, if he wants to stay with Julia.

Because, frankly, even with what’s gone on I don’t think it’s enough for Julia to accept Nick if he tells her. I mean, honestly, would any of you believe? Based solely on a large man breaking into your house and a man with a scarred face kidnapping you? Oh, they’re an ogre and a dragon, of course. I just don’t see that.

As for whats-her-face (sorry) that Monroe is interested in, I like her character, and the actress does a pretty good job of playing her.

I REALLY like Monroe’s new lady; I think she plays a strategic role (helping Monroe and Nick as well as understanding/accepting their relationship). Also she’s a good actress.

But Juliette I could take or leave. But I do want things cleared up – either break up or explain things to her.

Is anyone still considering/wondering if Juliette is a creature herself? And possibly clueless about it?

I felt pretty bad when Juliette shot him down. Can’t be easy for a guy to get back up after something like that.

Hank seems to have no self control whatsoever. What are they trying to get him to do exactly? Act out against Nick eventually? I hate how they showed them at a fancy restaurant – Hank makes far less than corporate attorney lady/evil creature. It’s not all that realistic. Took me outta the story.

That’s an interesting idea. Maybe for irony’s sake she’ll turn out to be a reaper.

In an upcoming episode Nick will fight Adalind Schade (female Hexenbiest). I’m guessing Hank will come out and defend her.

But really, I think all of this is to get Nick to Join the captain’s organization. How controlling Hank plays into that, I’m not sure.

My two cents. I think that she is part-Grimm. In the dragon episode, when Monroe introduced himself to her, she kind of recoiled. Since then, she seems to be able to sense if a character is a wessen. Not that she can see them as they are, but she can feel their difference.

About halfway through the previous episode there’s a scene in which the villain — a cat, recall — stalks the fellow at the grocery. A few times the camera turns away, turns back, and each time he’s suddenly a bit closer.

Was anybody else reminded of this? Homage, joke, unintentional?

That is EXACTLY what I thought of!

I have noticed some visual gags (like Nick and Monroe going for a walk at the dog park) so I suppose it could have been deliberate.

Yes! I instantly thought of that video.
