I had it done while I was in the Air Force; scheduled on a Friday so I could go back to work on Monday.
Procedure went fine: 10 mg Valium an hour prior, then a local and the work was put in.
Got home, nestled with frozen peas and the TV remote. Saturday: very little pain, but some strange-looking blackness around the area there.
Sunday: Some more pain, some more blackness, increasing as the evening went on. Wife said “go have that looked at.” I said, “no, I’ll go in tomorrow morning.”
Went to the clinic on Monday, doctor said “You should have come in yesterday.”
Fixed me up, gave me three more days off. No sweat.

Don’t worry about it, even though my friend had a rough time. That was entirely the fault of the clinic staff.
